Could you possibly have taken longer to say so little?

Prices of non nessesities are falling, prices of the basics like food and gas are rising. Something has to give. As this article is Guitar Center specific, all the big retailers are under pressure, but those that sell musical items into a saturated market are under tremendous pressure and suppliers are wary of their ability to ultimately pay for the merchandise delivered to them.  Some have been shut off over credit concerns, hence the reliance on so many "used" listings.  They can acquire used stuff for a song and turn it over a bit faster.

This is a waste of time.

Unless you have a collectable amp . Amps depreciate faster than guitars .  I have made out well when trading a guitar to purchase an amp .

Markets go up, markets go down. Old players go, new players come. Fashions change.

Code line six in gold and some piping

I owned a Katana Boss mk 2 which is an amazing amp. Those amps costs less than a lot of single pedals.
