We do the full turkey dinner for thanksgiving but for Christmas we do laid back- like ham for sandwiches, hot or cold, with all the sides like pickles, cheese slices, condiments, etc., usually we have a shrimp platter too, BBQ beef sandwiches or hot chicken sandwiches, potato salad/pasta salad, calico beans, kielbasa, cheesy potatoes, fruit salad, sweet potato pie, pecan pie, and Christmas cookies. We all share the cooking so one person doesn’t have to do it all. Then people can come in and out, and eat when they want.
If you stop eating sugary stuff for a few weeks the cravings will go away. You have to stick to it. You have to be strong-willed, you don't need all that sugar and the upside is you will loose weight without trying.
