“You pay for a decently priced ticket and you get to watch four hours of actual wrestling with no ads. Imagine that.”

I am Mexican and I love wrestling. This is the first time that foreigners talk about CMLL, and I feel proud.

The answer is Hechicero

I wasn't too familiar with them until the AEW partnership and now I really want to go see Arena Mexico

They were rewarded with a partnership event with Pokémon! They have always done alot of things right!

I am a Day One AEW fan. I had heard of Arena Mexico, but it was better than I could have imagined. It's the best  thing to see other fantastic wrestlers that I would not see otherwise. The crowd was into everything and was LOUD.

Hangman is my favorite and his promo to open  Grand Slam Mexico is my moment of the year. Page went out and nailed a promo in a second language in their house. It was humility and respect.

And that's why the Cmll's nickname is LA SERIA Y ESTABLE.

(the serious and stable one)

The fact that Claudio Castagnoli is the new CMLL heavyweight champion should tell the world the put some respect on their name.

CMLL has been consistently entertaining me for years. I can't say that about many other feds. Outside of Deadlock Pro Wrestling and TJPW.

The reason why CMLL stayed strong apart from your stated reasons is that CMLL has respected partners that isnt trying to one-up each other.
New japan suprisingly has respected CMLL unlike their rest of partners where they take insane unfair advantages of them.
AEW too has respected them after their entire dibacle of TNA and AAA partnership.

And now they defintly gain the support of everyone in mexico in wake of WWE purchasing AAA.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the only reason WWE acquired AAA is because they could not acquire CMLL. I won't pretend to know why, but I will bet that Triple H wanted to buy the longest standing promotion in history, and it didn't work out. Thus, he bought the competition.

Went to my first CMLL show last Tuesday at Arena Mexico. Even thought Tuesday is supposed to be a slow, relaxed show and they only put about half of the available seating on sale, it was still a blast. Incredibly loud. Fortunate to have been able to attend wrestling shows at both Arena Mexico and Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

tldr: Mistico is the fuckin goat

I am a day 1 AEW fan, I had heard about CMLL and Arena Mexico about how great they were as a fan who understands Spanish (no it's not my first language), watching it for the first time it has such a captivating look and feel that almost felt like watching wrestling as a kid when I began. CMLLs authenticity, tradition make it truly 1 promotion that will give an unforgettable experience. CMLL truly is the WWE of Mexico. Their adapting has been beautiful with time too, whilst retaining OG fans. From what I have heard from older fans.

CMLL Has been my favorite company of the year and definitely deserves to win the  company f the year award. Some of my favorite matches include Dorada vs Hechicero, MJF  vs Mistico, and Blue Panther vs Ultimo Guerrero

Arena Coliseo always holds shows every Monday night as well.

To see that they're still sticking to their ways is so dope to see. And for partnerships to come and look for them shows how authentic they really are. The culture is so rich which is why they'll forever have stars and the difference between this and other companies is that it's always about the people! the people actually pick who they want to see and not the other way around where companies look at who is the most marketable or who has the fattest asses lol. You either wrestle and people pick up on you or you don't and keep on working. Wrestling isn't just a show these people really live this it's more than a hobby and it's so cool that cmll understands this is culture and those neighborhoods are the ones that fill up arenas. Super admirable!! I grew up watching cmll from cali not knowing there were multiple lucha companies both were enjoyable but all in all they (and mistico) are a huge part of my childhood ❤️ I have family in cdmx and I really wanna go visit and go to my first cmll show! Great vid

It’s ironic, because for many years Mexican fans have been saying, “CMLL is boring, CMLL feels old, CMLL is outdated, CMLL needs to change.”
And now, for a lot of those fans, the fact that they’re working with MLW and AEW is a sign that they **have changed a bit**, or at least that they’re not as closed off as they used to be.

CMLL doesn't need WWE's money...they are probably the most financialy stable promotion in the world for one simple reason...they OWN like five arenas...so every single person that pays a ticket it's all profit...they don't rent anything it all belongs to them
