Fun fact: The product placement in Casino Royale was deliberately toned down in response to the criticism leveled at Die Another Day, which earned itself the nickname “Buy Another Day”.

The opening line says exactly why it wasn't made, set in the 1960s and shot in black and white

Im glad someone else brought up how all the Bond movies prior to Casino Royale were in the same continuity...lots of people dont know that

We need a video on Christopher Nolan’s original plans for man of steel

The 2006 version is amazing, but the idea of Tarantino doing his own retro version is a tantalizing idea given how successful his other period films have been

I'm here so early that I feel like I'm watching the opening credits.

If you’re interested, Michael France’s original Goldeneye script is online to read. It’s darker and more serious, so you can’t really picture Brosnan in the role. Also, the opening is on a train, Trevelyan is older and once a mentor to Bond, and there are other differences too. It would make a good What Could Have Been

Oh God. A Tarantino directed James Bond film (not just Casino Royale, but just in general) would've been so awesome and amazing to see.

2:03 Video Begins

The Craig sequels all have great moments, but Royale is through-and-through, start-to-finish, a perfect film.

The pacing, script, acting, violence, and storytelling are all blended (shaken?) in the right amounts. From the badass opening song ("Arm yourself / because no one else here will save you") right down to the catharsis of the final scene and a perfect last line of dialog - 10/10. Nailed it.

I’d like to see Brosnan as Bond one more time. Old man Bond, sorta like this franchises version of “Logan”.

Tarantino and Brosnan should reunite and do a non Bond spy film exactly the way he planned..a real hard hitting film as a big middle finger to the producers..." You see? You were wrong! "

I love that you include Tarantino's favorite shot - feet shots! And Tarantino's version actually sounds like it would have been an interesting take on Bond.

5:17 Typical Tarantino shot.

'Casino Royale' (2006) is one of the best Bond movies.

The 1967 Casino Royale movie was such an acid trip! It had a few moments but to me was mostly incoherent until I caught onto it appearing more like a movie of several short episodes of characters. Pierce Brosnan deserved a better final good Bond movie, I actually liked Die Another Day more than most, but it still wasn’t a great film. Setting it in the 60s would’ve been a bold and interesting take on Bond and having that be Brosnan’s final Bond movie would have been a good send off. But overall I personally prefer the modern 2000s Casino Royale that we got as it is one of my favorite Bond movies. (Also that office parkour scene!)

Casino Royale (2006) is one of my favorite movies!

I hope Tarantino casts Brosnan in his next movie...

11:16 - If there's ever a bio film on Christopher Nolan, I know who I'd cast.
