Something about the cows staying near her really sticks with me. It's like they didn't want leave her to be alone. So sad 😭

I love how the 13 year old boy ran to see what was going on and called the police and told his brother. True Hero🥺

I found it kind of comforting that these people heard the scream and rather than ignore it, or just call the police and leave it, they actually went out and tried to help. Classic aussies tbh

“Give Anitas killer a free operation (without anesthesia) “ who ever wrote that sign needs an award

im so happy the bystander effect didnt take place the way it normally does. these people acted as fast as they could, wow

I think it’s pretty rude that they wouldn’t let her mom id her. Moms and dads are both capable and equally heartbroken by losing a daughter.

Another thing worth mentioning is apparently the night that Anita Cobby was murdered, Anita’s father woke up from a bad dream and looked out the window and saw “an evil pattern” in the sky and sensed something was wrong.

Her friend as well dreamt of her that night with Anita saying in her dreams “I’m dying, I’m dying”

Just breaks my heart.

That autopsy report was so horrific, I can’t imagine the fear and struggle that poor girl endured in her final moments. Makes me feel shaky and sick thinking about it 😔

This whole case is so heartbreaking but to me especially the fact that her husband must have been so happy that week in his mind he’s moving back in with the love of his life he’s going to start that life they dreamed of and then she’s just dead

she said “unlike in America the police in Australia do their job” and im here for it bella! 😂😂💖

I feel extremely bad for John she truly was the love of his life

@rxxrcousin 5 years ago

This may sound weird but I think the cows huddling around her body helped her soul make a safe journey wherever souls go<3

My cousins buried where she is and when we’re visiting her we also stop by Anita and talk to her. Such a sad case :(

If only the payphones weren't vandalised, if only there was a taxi around, if only the people that heard her screams managed to find her. So many if onlys. 💔

@kiyamcqueen3764 5 years ago

those defense wounds.. she fought like hell. i’m so sorry.

There’s something extra heartbreaking about how close those people got to saving her that somehow makes this one even more painful...

@Rihannan5 5 years ago

it’s sad that I feel this way but just the fact that the police DIDN’T prosecute john based on his coerced confession is SO surprising.

Weird fact. But my mum grew up living next to the men’s house as a kid. My grandma never liked them and would not let my mother play outside because of them.
