As a channel, we always work hard to show the utmost respect for the victims in the cases we cover. We cannot, and we will not, tolerate any victim blaming or shaming. It’s sad that we even have to post this, but any comment showing disrespect to Grace or her family will be removed. Please show kindness and respect.

Okay but shoutout to New Zealand for having CCTV literally everywhere. They had more than enough evidence to charge him for her murder.

The way this channel puts emphasis on the victim instead of sensationalizing the killers is one of my favorite things about it. Giving the victims a voice they no longer have 😢

If this happens in my country, our government will never give attention and will never pay tribute to the victims family. Huge respect to the New Zealand 🇳🇿 government.

The fact that he went on another date right after he just killed someone….. gives me chills. He had no remorse, and I firmly believe he would’ve taken the other woman and killed her too had she not trusted her intuition and not gotten into his car😕

The way he was talking to the other girl one day after he killed Grace, and how he was so comfortable lying to the police makes me think he would have become a serial killer if he hadn't been caught so quickly. Zero remorse.

For those of you blaming her.... normal people don't murder other people no matter what.

17 years is pathetic. He should have gotten life without the posibility of parole.

The nerves of this guy, "wanted to meet her in a public place for my safety" ,, sir, you murdered her

Whoever´s supplying CCTV-cameras to New Zealand needs a raise

The way New Zealand handled this case, and the support they showed Grace's family, is a testament to that country, Prime Minister, law enforcement and citizens.

To learn her father died shortly after going through this ordeal, was very sad indeed...

The fact he took that carpet cleaner up into his room should have been a red flag for the hotel. Who even does that!

Thank god they had great quality cctv everywhere... it should be like this in every country

He killed her on her birthday while she was on a well-deserved holiday simply exploring other parts of the world after graduating university. He caused so much pain and suffering to her loved ones while feeling absolutely no concern about it. What an unbelievably cruel and disgusting oaf.

To hear this piece of human debris speak of HIS “safety” during the interrogation makes me blood boil. What a horrible excuse for a human being

Instead of just telling girls not to meet up with strangers maybe try telling men NOT TO RAPE AND MURDER.

RIP Grace. 💔

@arlobarlo7348 4 years ago

The fact that he took “intimate” photos of her dead body and how it took about 5 minutes of strangaling to kill her just shows this wasn’t accidental

Imagine how the girl that went out with him the next day felt when she learned what he had done. That was a narrow escape, she could've been next. Rest in peace Grace, you will never be forgotten.

Imagine having your whole life ahead of you, just graduating uni on the trip of a lifetime only to have it all taken away from you by one selfish evil man.
That’s pure injustice
