This film is shown in law schools to demonstrate important tips for lawyers, such as stay in the good graces of the judge and never ask a witness on the stand a question that you, the lawyer, don't already know the answer to.

Vinny is what is known in the legal industry as an "ambulance chaser," meaning he mostly handles cases of personal injury seeking damages. The name comes from the idea that these lawyers will follow an ambulance to the hospital looking for clients.

Katie tells Vinny, "Get your shit together!".

The noise in the prison is similar to New York city noise, which he is able to sleep through. Great reaction.

3 of the most beautiful women in the world in one reaction: Marisa, Katie, and Hela 😍🥰🫠

13:44 Vinny gets charged with contempt of court.
Hella, "We need another lawyer for the three of them."

42:47 Vinny and Mona Lisa make eye contact and Hella is excited! ❤

Ralph Macchio is also in "The Karate Kid" movies, which you would like.

This is a fun movie from start to finish. I love how animated and excited the ladies on Movie Munchies get when they are reacting. Their English is so good, their laughter is so cool and they really get into the movie, plus they are beautiful ladies.

Great reaction! Marisa Tomei (Mona Lisa) won an Academy Award for her role.

Anytime Hella is involved I can't stop watching her facial expressions. She is so animated in the best way. She's truly showing every emotion and it's my favorite part of these reactions!

41:53 - I love how Hella matched Marisa's sass

Many lawyers LOVE this film - and they say it's surprisingly accurate for courtroom rules...

Ralph Macchio is actually the actor who plays Bill, who accidentally took the can of tuna. The actor who played Vinny is Joe Pesci. A lot of the jokes are things about the difference between New York City and southern states like Alabama that American viewers would understand. Like Vinny saying "yewts" is a joke about his accident. Grits are popular in the South, but a lot of people in North don't eat them or even know what they're made from. Even though the movie is a comedy, the depiction of legal procedure in My Cousin Vinny is actually more accurate than in a lot of supposedly serious drama movies.

It also plays on the NY Italian subculture characters in the deep south.  America is a big place with many different dialects and groups, some of whom see things differently, eat different foods, have different ways of life.  Loved how the fiancee kinda charmed the Southern judge and prosecutor with her mannerisms, beauty and brains, lol.

They'd likely never known any woman quite like that.

This is my favorite court movie ever made.

After that brutal Halloween movie run with Se7en, The Exorcist, Carrie, Season 1 of GoT, etc...  I'm glad they're watching happy movies!

32:56 Vinny says "Were those magic grits? Did you get them from the same guy who sold Jack his beanstalk beans?" That's a reference to a famous children's fairy tale called "Jack and the Beanstalk."  After a guy named Jack buys magic beans and plants them, they grow overnight into a huge beanstalk. Vinny was making fun of the witness for saying that he was "just a fast cook."

Side note: Another great film, Lethal Weapon 2, came out at around the same time as "my cousin vinny," also starring Joe Pesci!

Ralph Macchio  plays in another Iconic movie classic, that you should watch... called  "Crossroads" (1986).

Vinny can sleep in prison during a riot because the noise is like what hes used to hearing living in the hustle and bustle of New York city wheras in the country its so quiet that any little sound is startling to him.

16:41  “Here’s a certificate of validation.”
This is how professionals argue.  The lowest-level premises that support the argument are either already mutually accepted or the evidence that supports them is handy.
