The scariest part of the movie is when nikki begs him to kill her and he asks "what's so awful about being with me?" or whatever. THAT'S INSANE

My favorite part of this movie is the moment you realize the title is about him, not her. It's HIS obsession with HER that caused all this. And I love that.

“He put her in a prison, and the walls are her own body.” Goes so freakin hard dude wth

The fact that everyone else knew about her relationship with her dad, but not the guy who supposedly liked her. He liked the idea of her. He knew nothing about her.

I love how much you DON'T see Nikki's face in this movie. The first shot where her face is cut off is when Bear calls her Freaky Nikki, violating a simple boundary she has. And then after that Nikki spend the majority of the movie in shadows, out of focus or cut off because her autonomy is being violated and her face doesn't matter. SHE doesn't matter to Bear.

Your right about that girl needing an Oscar. It's one thing for an actor to make me want to laugh or cry with their performance. But when an actor is capable of making the hair stand up on the back of my neck with their performance?!? That's rare as hell.

As a book reader I love that this movie sheds light on the fact a romance and love story aren't the same. This movie is a love story, but romance? Absolutely not.

Imagine this movie from Nikki's perspective. That had to be truly terrifying.

Nicki’s obsession was just a reflection of Bear’s. Remember when Nicki came back to the car, she was like ‘I just lost my cat.’

"Does he off himself and save her in the end?"
No. He waits until things are so bad for HIM that he decides to end it, but then of course he's too much of a coward to even do that.

Inde Navarrette is going to absolutely blow up after this movie. She was so incredible.

The "I don't like my dreams" to me sounded like there is a struggle between the obsessed side of Nikki and the "real" Nikki and at night this struggle comes through. In hindsight it might also be Nikki suffering from the rift between being herself and being this madly in-love person that isn't really her but being unable to fight it. It's in line with things happening later in the movie, like the tortured screams on the hotline when the representative asks if Bear wants to talk to Nikki. So yeah, I guess the "dreams" are Nikki's despair and suffering bleeding through.

The director said that he would like to do an anthology series with different wishes and I think that'd be an incredible idea and hope a network picks it up

One thing of this movie, I noticed that most people don’t pick up on  is in the beginning when bear finds his cat passed away. You see that the cat food and all the stuff in the kitchen has been knocked over plus the pills that it unfortunately got into.  so in my belief, bear was not taking good care of that cat either if it was going through all that trying to get something to eat

When Ian says “it looks like you’re taking advantage of her” then immediately invites HIM to hang out and demands he leave her out, like, are u really worried about Nikki? Wtf no one in this movie was her friend

This is a great example of why love spells and wishes are generally frowned upon. You basically force feelings on someone that may not feel the same, thus robbing them of their autonomy. Love how this movie took that premise to the extreme. Good reaction!

Before the comments get flooded, I really love the absolute comedic relief that is Harry once Bear comes all bloodied in One Willow Shop and he just goes "Nah, I'm just fucking with you. There they are."

After all bullshit Bear caused and every tragedy unfolded, that scene is my comfort in this entire movie

Funny you should say that @47:47. Because Barker’s follow-up horror-comedy film 'Anything But Ghosts' officially shares the same universe as Obsession. It will feature a background news broadcast referencing the terrifying aftermath of 'Obsession' . How a woman went bat shit crazy and killed 3 people.

Editor here, I’m out of wishes so if one of yall could wish for LOTR I would really appreciate it thanks :)

An INSANELY cool detail that many people forget or totally don't know about is that when Wish Nikki looks at her own reflection she snaps back to normal Nikki. That's why she had to use the newspaper because there was a mirror over the bed. During the scene in the car, she snapped back for a second because she looked into the mirror of the car. Insanely cool detail and awesome environmental storytelling.
