Bruce is underrated as a guitar player when he was in his teens and early 20's he was known as the fastest guitar in Jersey and the east coast

Amazing. Never seen anyone react to these, and it is peak Springsteen

Thank you. 1978 Prove it was tops

If you ever have the chance to see Bruce & the ESB live in concert, DO IT!!!! It's worth every cent you pay.

I saw him 6 straight nights in Philly in early 80s and every night was different songs, diff openers diff encores diff stories he would tell diff interactions etc. 6 straight nights of my 26 Bruce concerts

Origin of the song title - Kitty was a popular stripper in a club Bruce would pass on his way to the shore..  Then one day the sign out front proclaimed "Kitty's Back!"

Been listening to him for more than 45-50 years😊

IMO Darkness on the Edge of Town is his best album.. I love that album.

🎉Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at their best!!!! Sublime✨️

For many years Rosalita ended the marathon shows, and what an ending it was!🎶

"Seduction through guitar." You are spot on.

Streets of Fire. STREETS OF FIRE!! Same show, pure passion rock

Kitty's Back opened the second set that night. They don't do intermissions anymore but usually half way through is a major soul/rock song that many would use as a closer and for Bruce is just the half way marker. Another hour goes by and he's in the encores doing one closer after another, each Bruce show has 7 or 8 closers. 😂

Salut mec,

So not that he was boasting  but when I sat with Roy he indicated he  had perfect pitch ) Plano)

Recently discovered your reactions.and enjoying them very much.... I've  had a 3 record bootleg set of this from right about when it first popped up in the record store, and imagine my excitement when years later I discovered it had been filmed. I saw them exactly 13 nights previous to  this show , at the Uptown Theater in Chicago. I've seen a  hell of a lot of concerts  in my 74 years but that show still stands out as the single greatest show of my life. And coincidentally that was 47 years ago tonight.

This version of "Prove It All Night" might be--or let's just say IS--Bruce Springsteen’s (and The E Street Band’s) greatest live performance—therefore one of the single greatest live performances in the history of rock & roll—with his greatest set of guitar solos within a single song (three), and his truest raison d’etre, mantra and metaphor, in a body of work rife with them: “Prove It All Night.”

Of course, it’s from The Capitol Theater, Passaic, New Jersey radio broadcast show September 19, 1978, and universally acclaimed by Bruce’s longtime fans as one of his live peaks.

Between Roy Bittan’s minimalist (for him) jazz-inflected piano opening to one of the late, great Clarence Clemons' signature sax solos that caused the audience to explode (I was in the sixth row!), to Mighty Max’s machine gun drumming at the end—sandwiching Bruce’s unbelievable buzzsaw-sounding, screaming, wrenching guitar work (never to be heard quite like this again on future tours) and one of the most exciting organ solos in rock & roll history by the late, great Danny Federici—is perhaps his and the Band’s tightest (listen to what’s backing those guitar solos), most dynamic, most dramatic, and thereby quintessential live performance of their entire careers.

I think you really summed up an important aspect of a Bruce concert. There is an effort on Bruce's part to never simply move song to song. It is an orchestrated set piece. If you walked in not knowing how long the concert had been going you may easily think that this was the encore!! ❤

Excellent reactions to deep cuts few other reactors are aware of!! The audio for this show is superb despite the low in-house video quality. "She's the one" from this concert is amazing for its intensity and Bruce/Clarence interplay near the end. "Point blank", Streets of fire", "Racing in the street", "Darkness on the edge of town", etc., etc. are excellent versions from this show too.

Tho Boss Rocks big time!
