Waitin' for video "What  happened to 40 players drafted before Jokic"
💀

I didn't know that Giannis had such tough upbringing. He got my respect.

Man's using footage from Africa to represent Giannis 'on the streets' in Greece 😂

Giannis perfectly fits on Milwaukee cuz they commit in him and develop the team around him and wait patiently

Mad respect to the coach who found them and thanasis who convinced the agent 👏🏾

To all the teams that didn't take Giannis, all i can say is, "THANK YOU!" He's not just developed into the best player in franchise history, he's got a great work ethic, a great attitude, he's a leader, and he's a great guy in the community (and in this day, that might be the biggest standout quality of this grown a** man). He's developed a mid-range jumper this season, to go with great defense, great rebounding, great passing, great scoring ability, his on-court awareness/vision and basketball smarts, that makes him even more valuable. Go Bucks!

I’ll never forget when I was playing 2k with my brother, Giannis’ rookie year and I said “who is this guy?” My brother said, “a kid who has the potential to be the next big superstar” I was 17 at the time and my brother was 20…. Insane how right he was.

As a Denver fan apparently I'm supposed to hate this guy but honestly I kind of love him. I hope him and Jokic both get at least a few more rings out of their careers. They're clearly the 2 best players in the league right now by a wide margin but do not have an adequate supporting cast like other superstars.

Giannis really said he could be a freak on the court and on the sheets

Brought so much to my city. His mural in the Third Ward is huge

Anyone after he got traded to the heat?

Also Rudy Gobert being in this draft class made it a bit better , but he was picked at like 27th

The one thing Giannis always had over EVERYONE ELSE in his draft class is the same thing other greats had. Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, the one thing that set them all apart ALWAYS is work ethic. No one has ever dared call these players lazy. They don't just make basketball their job, they make it their life. They live and breathe the game. When they're not playing they're practicing, when they're not practicing they're hitting the weights. when they're not hitting the weights they're eating right and thinking about what they have to improve on next. That's the key to suxxess. You have to live it. That's how they keep improving. They find their ceiling, then they go around it until they find their next ceiling. Oh you can't improve your physicals anymore? Improve your close range game. Improve your efficiency You can't improve your close range game anymore? Improve your defense. You can't improve your defense anymore? Find a way to finish through contact. You can do that now? Improve your mid range. You can't improve your mid range anymore? Find your three point shot. Improve your contested shots. You see this happening over and over with great players. Lebron didn't used to have mid range game or a three pointer. These days he shoots 40% from 3. You have to live it.

Probably the best developmental story of the NBA ever. I remember during the offseason before his sophomore year, the media hyping up his physical growth, putting on a bunch of muscle and getting taller. It was history from there. His work ethic is insane and he definitely took advantage of opportunities being placed in front of him. His maturity, determination, selflessness, and humble mindset make it easy to cheer for him. I love when people mention the fact that he has no "bag" and that if he were a foot shorter and 20lbs lighter he'd be trash, but the fact of the matter is that he worked just as hard, if not harder than everyone to get to the level he's at. Almost every NBA star is gifted physically but not all of them have his drive and mentality.

2021 was actually the first time the Bucks got to experience hoisting the Larry Obrien trophy since the NBA didn't even have a championship trophy the last time Milwaukee won it

CAI Zaragoza is not based in Madrid, it is based in... Zaragoza.

I've heard or read it before somewhere, but for him to send most of the money to his family and then run to the stadium is one of the best stories I have ever heard from a professional athlete or someone of high stature. His work ethic, attitude, and personality - it's all in that story.
Would other players run to the stadium in cold weather?
Would they give all their money for something good other than yourself?
Or even take a ride with regular people in their car?

that draft would be forever nightmare that they didnt know that time they surpassing Giannis and Rudy Gobert 🤣

No, his first professional team was not based in Madrid, but in Zaragoza… another Spanish city.

IMHO if Giannis went higher he'd end up either as Euro-Stash (like OKC was planning) or he wouldn't develop as much as he did. Milwaukee was perfect fit for him
