Ussop said he saw Merry’s spirit and nobody believed him, nobody came close to the love Ussop had for Merry

Actually fun fact, Nami was originally gonna have an axe and a robotic arm

Ussop is the main reason the ship is seen as a crew mate. The merry being though as part of the crew/family is what brought her to life. Literally only luffy would have been the only one to remotely think of merry as part of the crew.

Legitimately every time I hear you talk about vivi Its like hearing your uncle say something racist at thanksgiving

The biggest case is literally him awakening observation haki to help luffy and law to not get turned into marketable plushies

To be honest, I would have given up One Piece if Ussop wasn't around, that is how important he is to the show.
It wouldn’t have fun times,  No Sniper King, No Luffy vs Ussop,  No inspiring speech to Luffy, No Going Merry coming to save them, and No Going Merry Funeral. We cried over a ship and that was because of Ussop.

The SHs loved the merry but they loved her as a ship. Ussop loved her as an actual member of the crew. That’s the difference, without him, I doubt she’d even turn sentient.

Zoro was “Pirate Hunter” because he left his billiard in search of Mihawk and got lost on his way back so he hunted pirates to live off the bounty money. Then Luffy bumped into him at the execution grounds.

Bruh 😭💀 I’m dead—y’all finally put some RESPECT on Usopp’s name! Straw Hats woulda been DONE in East Blue without my boy, no cap. This video got me weak, Sage really out here spittin’ straight FACTS 😤🏴‍☠️💯

Ngl to you man, going out into the One Piece YouTube space as an Usopp fan is painful, mans is constantly getting dunked on and called useless, even if its not true 😂

People also need to remember that it takes a lot of love to make ships sentient. It’s a very rare occurrence one that hasn’t even happened to the sunny. The sunny has only started to become sentient. One of the biggest reasons was the love Usopp had and the connection he had. Usopp was for sure the reason Merry was sentient.

48:20 It’s funny, because in this timeline without Ussop, they’d have already replaced her 💀

Honestly, the Merry might not even survive the fall from skypeia

The sentience thing also doesn't even matter, without Ussop there Iceberg would never fix the merry. The only reason she made it as far as she did was because a real talented shipright fixed it to that point. She breaks apart at sea even before she makes it to Ennies Lobby and the Strawhats are mopped up by the buster call.

13:59 I wish the guy explained better how she dies if smoker isn't their I could've sworn luffy saved her

Nami would cook for them but she also would charge them with interest 😂

the two brother bounty hunter guys would never find the strawhats after the rock... one had scurvy and was about to die... But beyond that, the only one repairing the marry was Usopp.. without him they might not have left skypia. He was the one repairing it for the most part up till then, and the spirit of the marry fixed it up when it was on the alter or whatever. There is a good chance without the care Usopp gave with the repairs all that time, the marry wouldn't get all magic and spirity. The others mostly care for merry like a ship, not a crew member.. Only usopp viewed the merry as a crew member until near the end. Luffy wouldn't have ever given up on the Merry if he viewed her as a crew member, as proven by how he changes his mind and begs them to fix her at the end when it literally snaps in half, while before he was going to leave her.. Sooo I say they don't make it out of skypia... or if they do, they are using a different ship.. I'm sure there is one around someplace..

12:50 yes! YES!! Bon chaaaaaan!!

32:53 that brother got dragon ball on his mind her name is Kalifa

10:11 Understand where you are coming from here Sage… But you have to understand that before Little Garden… there were moments where Sanji and Zoro got along and both behaved in similar ways when it came to being big brothers to luffy, and it is very much so a popular perspective that what leads to the spiraling of their bickering even to the currents events very simply all started with 2 things, the disagreements on nami’s character and then also, MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, the petty belt measuring contest between their egos that was seeing who could grab the biggest dinosaur for lunch was LITERALLY where their irrational arguing started! So if Sanji stays on the boat, it absolutely could be viewed or perceived that Zoro and Sanji, either for perpetuity or at least a little while longer on the journey maintained a solid friendship.
