In this video, we explore the Via Christi in Junín de los Andes and reach the Cristo Luz (Christ the Light), one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in Patagonia. It's an experience that combines art, landscape, and spirituality at the highest point of southwestern Neuquén province.
We begin in the city center, where we stop at the traditional Café El Regreso to enjoy a coffee and a delicious cake before starting our walk.
From there, we head to the Via Christi Sculpture Park, where Rosa greets us with a clear explanation and recommendations for completing the circuit. We visit all the stations, on a journey that integrates art, reflection, and the Patagonian landscape.
We pause at the cross viewpoint, where the park's café and restaurant are located—an ideal spot to recharge before tackling the final and most demanding section of the circuit.
At the summit, the Cristo Luz awaits us, the culmination of the journey, both in height and in its significance. From there, Junín de los Andes unfolds before the visitor, offering one of the most breathtaking views in southwestern Neuquén. Alejandro Santana's artwork provides a unique spectacle, where art engages in a dialogue with the mountains and the silence.
After the tour, we visited Casa Chowa, located just a few meters from the park entrance. We enjoyed drinks, bruschetta, and their specialty: enormous focaccia sandwiches, of exceptional quality and with an excellent balance of flavors.
