Zach lived in my neighborhood in South Pasadena back in 95 and I used to see him all the time at Señor Fish and wanted to talk to him, but didn't. I finally saw him at Real Food Daily back in 06 and said hi to him and he stopped and chatted for a few minutes and was totally down to earth.

I was there rocking my mind off that whole weekend before things got crazy at which point we got the hell out of there, right when the Chilli Peppers were playing Hendrix Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire. The energy of crowds back then--before everyone became addicted to their phones and lost their ability to simply be in the moment--was incredible. It's kind of hard to believe, and almost sad watching it now, but damn was it great to be alive and young then! 🤘

18 years old . Woodstock was the greatest and the worst experience . I was dehydrated and dead tired but once RATM came one it was an out of body experience.. I was so dead but they just amped up the crowed so much . I gave it my all in the massive, endless pit

Did they put 5 mics on the Hi-Hat? Dafuk..

When people used to move and really get into the music. Crazy.

The security for that concert must have been one hell uva time. Like, fighting the horde in some epic battle, the zerglings are coming.. HOLD THE LINE!

How did Zach have such awareness from a young age yet everyone else still asleep? even the people who bought RATM albums still asleep

I love the sound of his telecaster

They were ahead of their time. A lot of folks are only recently waking up to the message they were trying to get across. Me included. Saw them at the U of New Orleans on their Battle of Los Angeles tour. Good times.
