Is the new Kia PV7 a better camper base than the PV5? I went to the world
premiere at IAA Transportation in Hannover to find out, and got up close to
both the PV7 Passenger and the PV7 Cargo on the stand.
Kia pulled the covers off the PV7 on 14 September and the internet filled up
with reveal videos within the hour. Almost none of them asked the question
that matters to anyone planning a conversion: how much usable space is
actually in there, what is the loading height, where does the power come
from, and does it beat the PV5 we have spent the last six months building in
our own workshop.

The step from the PV5 to the 7 is huge, especially on the interiors. I hope, they upgrade the PV5 in the same manner. What makes the PV5 so especial in my eyes is its footprint, which is that of a normal mid-size car. Having the upgraded interior, the removable seats on rails, would make it so much more versatile.

Thank you so much for enthusiastically getting yourself in their on behalf of all of us. I have just this week taken a PV5 for a test drive and was just about to complete purchase when the PV7 was dropped. I will now wait to April and place my order for a PV7 passenger,
The PV5 has already killed the Id Buzz and when the PV7 comes out then Ford (and the VW partnership) will have some serious competition. I can see massive reductions happening in the Transit Custom and full Transit as firms move away from Fords high prices and unreliability
I can't wait to see the PV7 Cargo Compact. Hopefully it will be the perfect compromise.

Straight up: we're six days behind on this one. Kia gave one channel the van a week early and the rest of us saw it the same second you did, when the
