I have been calling this October suprise for a while now. Here is the Janet and John version. The UK 'government' borrowed £130bn. Of that, it spent £110bn to pay the interest on what it had already borrowed. The bond market is concerned that the UK 'government' won't be able to borrow FAST enough to pay the interest on it's debt. Long story short, it is borrowing to pay INTEREST. The lenders know it. They will demand a higher return. This is compound. The 10 year hit 5.5% today. Andy is about to come face to face with cold economic reality. Buckle up. Andy's economics lesson is going to cost us all dearly.
