Oestrogel is estradiol gel. One of the best and most well-known on the market for replacing and treating estrogen deficiency. Menopause is a milestone in the lives of many women.
In this video, I explain, step by step, how to use estrogen gel during perimenopause and menopause.
Hormone therapy with transdermal estradiol is currently one of the main options for treating menopausal symptoms—hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, mood swings, and vaginal dryness. However, many women who use the gel do not receive adequate guidance on the application site, quantity, timing, and absorption time. And a key detail: the gel applied incorrectly may simply not be absorbed.
I am a gynecologist, I work in women's hormonal health, and I spend my days explaining this in consultations. I decided to record the complete explanation.
IN THIS VIDEO YOU WILL UNDERSTAND:
Where to apply estradiol gel — and the areas you should avoid
Why the dose isn't the same for all women
How long the gel takes to dry and be absorbed
How long it takes for symptoms to start improving
Gel, patch, or tablet: the real difference between the routes
Transfer to other people through skin contact: is there a risk?
What to do when you forget to apply it
Why transdermal estradiol and oral estradiol don't have the same risk profile
When gel is NOT the best option
This video is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, does not replace individual assessment, and should not be used to start, stop, or modify any treatment. Hormone therapy requires a prescription and individualized medical follow-up, with an assessment of indications, contraindications, and risks for each patient. Consult your gynecologist.
