Thomas Sankara, the Forgotten Interview (2/2)
In July 1984, on the eve of the first anniversary of the revolution, the leader of what would become Burkina Faso a few days later gave an interview to the renowned filmmaker René Vautier. This interview had been forgotten. Afrique XXI is now revealing it as the trial of the assassins of Sankara and twelve of his comrades is set to begin in the coming weeks. This second part focuses on his conception of the revolution, his relations with neighboring countries, and the South African and Israeli regimes.
