The Mars Volta are the only dudes that really vibe with nardwuar because they love and embrace the weirdos like him. That's their tribe and they speak that language.
In the early days where Narduwar wasn't an established interviewer, the people that tried their hardest to seem normal rejected and bullied Nardwuar because they couldn't confront him being the manifestation of the thing which they suppress.
Nowadays, the only reason most people don't give Nardwuar a hard time is because he is well respected within the industry, but if it weren't for that, they wouldn't be polite with Nardwuar.
