The first guy was tripping fucking BALLS.

omar: "WTF what am i supposed to do with a microphone"

The hair style  of Cedric was epic, i would like to have the same

I live in El Paso (Omar and Cedric's hometown) and Dr.Rodriguez's (Omar's Dads) house burned down, their studio flooded, and Omar's mom had a stroke. This all occurred within weeks of each other. Rumor has it they believe it was due to the spirits from the Ouija board, the spirits started becoming malicious and caused these events to occur. Btw, Omar's mom died two weeks ago. I know Omar's dad, and I was fortunate enough to see them in At the Drive In last Thursday in our hometown. :)

I'm surprised not one of them just got up there high as a kite and just asked "dudes.....like.....dudes.....what IS music, you know? Like what IS it?"

"hey my name is dave."
"hey Dave...hello Dave..."

They must feel so awkward doing this.

That specific microphone doesn't do anything special, it just sounds very good and very clear. It's called a Sennheiser MD 421-II and it's a dynamic microphone, like most standard stage mics. However, unlike most stage mics, it costs about $400 and it's designed for mainy studio use. So, it's built with a higher quality which better captures Cedric's voice.

Paul and Dave are the same dude, just trying to sneak in 2 questions

I'm surprised they took that first question seriously. What the fuck did he even mean by that?

Nah, I think he's a fan he's met before because he says 'Long time no see', so he's probably told Cedric he's a Trekkie beforehand or something.

I don't know a bout you guys, but the first guy's question is hilarious! ha ha ha

Wow, I was 14 when this video uploaded and 100% into the Mars Volta. Great to get back to this one now that I improved my English listening skills

LOL @ the first guy's facial expression

i love cedrics mike and the first guy seemed really high

Goliath was such a powerful album for them. And the whole studio flooding and crazyness with the ouji board and all that...in. Hindsight i think that alot of what the albums about seems to be kind of...exagerated but iremember in that year thinking woah this is some scary shit..ithink thats what made it so powerful, for a moment u believed in monsters again

yea I took it as some type of satire for the first few minutes lol

Crazy stuff did happen in their lives..but shit happens, it just does

omar thought i was a crazy asian cause i have really long hair lol.

Haha, did somebody shout "WICKERMAN!" when Omar was about to start talking?
