The old joke “if you need a date window on a dive watch, you’re already dead”

The sniffing cocaine line is one of the best ever. Hilarious. Love your videos!

Bro, youre currently my favorite watch reviewer. Chill demeanor and fact focused. Thanks for the content.

Hello there. I'm working for ETA. ETA is not pronounced like an abbrevation (E.T.A.) but like Etta (James). Most people get it wrong😅 Thanks for your great videos.

My Hydroconquest 39MM Bezel is used to time my pomeranian walkies😅

You’re like the Michael Jordan of watch YouTube channels sir. Thank you for entertaining me all of these Saturday mornings. Cheers 🍻 from Washington State USA 🇺🇸

Mike, you’re the intellectual man’s reviewer. Great perspective, and detailed observations. Always humorous, and enjoyable.

Fabulous guide! Real diver here—when I'm heading out on the boat, my go-to is the Damasko DSub50 on an elastic Nick Mankey strap. It blows my mind how often people overlook Damasko when looking for an absolute tank of a tool watch. The sub steel and DAMEST coating take a beating, and their engineering on the stem system (the patented lubrication cell and Viton seals) is next-level security against leaks. Best of all? It’s easily the most accurate mechanical watch I own, including my Rolexes. Definitely punches way above its price point.

I'm a non-diving watch enthusiast who likes automatic dive/tool watches under $3,000 and spends far more time reading/watching things about watches than buying them. I really enjoyed this video because as my favorite watch content creator, I value your opinion and find it useful in educating myself and separating the wheat from the chaff. Thank you, Mike!

I’m an Englishman who lives in Canada, travels a lot, and paddles at depth in the world’s wet spots. Therefore, I need a diver GMT. As a result, I wear a Mido Ocean Star and have been highly impressed by its functionality and form. This year, it’s been under the Pacific, Indian, and Southern oceans, been to Easter Island, Chile, Argentina, and Australia, been in a million restaurants and has been wound by the lifting of many post dive pint glasses. At C$1800, it offers a reasonable price point for a non blingy but aesthetically appealing tool watch that performs perhaps even better than it looks. I replaced the lovely standard strap with a NATO really to preserve the former against the rigours anticipated. The GMT function is fantastic, keeping track of my place in the world, and I think it’s the best watch money can buy.

Mike, can I suggest you give Mido some attention?

One of the best videos I’ve ever watched; the presentation, the timing, and everything else were amazing.

Glashutte Original SeaQ whether in the panorama date or the more wrist friendly 39.5 mm model is my favorite diver regardless of price.   Amazing design and finishing with an exceedingly easy adjustable clasp.

The Seiko Marinemaster is my favourite diver.

Citizen Eco Drive BN0260…a bulletproof solar quartz, ISO certified tool that you can dress down with a rubber/nato strap, or wear under cuff on it’s excellent bracelet. It’s a 600 dollar, 41mm gem.

Divers today use dive computers, but they always use analog backups on their wrist. Mine is the Citizen Promaster Aqualand Ref. BJ2168-01E (solar powered quartz, analog depth meter with memory).

Sad because missed Squale...

Ok, I'll come out, I admit. I own an Invicta Pro Diver :D
And it works. And - I actually like to wear it and look at it.

My search ended with a Squale Super Squale Arabic. Apart from a slightly too short crown, it is understated perfection.

No Squale? Damn

It may not be the most popular choice among enthusiasts, but the refreshed TAG Aquaracer also looks fantastic!
