Trolls can't break Silver
don't bring them up the hill

The key to fighting wolves is to listen carefully. Their attacks are difficult to see coming, but they will always snarl right before attacking. Hit block when you hear a snarl and they will get parried, and can then be killed easily.

The "you are being hunted" event is pretty easy if you keep your cool. Try to find a boulder to jump on top of, or stand on a ledge that forces them to approach from one side. Parry when you hear a snarl, then attack, and if they start to surround you, dodge roll to keep them on one side. If multiple wolves are trying to hit you at once, hold your block a little bit longer after getting the parry, so that you don't lower your guard after parrying wolf 1 only to get hit by wolf 2.

In my new solo world, there’s a tiny mountain south of my house. I can’t wait until I get stronger to explore it :)

I recommend adding a section for the deadliest event in the game: "You are being Hunted". Not covering that ensures near instant death for anyone unfamiliar with it.

I have seen golems hit drakes. They turn the drakes into projectiles as they shoot away after being hit by them. It's priceless.

I can vouch for the stag breaker silver method, I don't even beat bonemass anymore before looking for silver, best advice is only use it on e obsidian shows up and prioritize large open areas that look eerily flat for no real reason

Excellent mountain guide! Not sure if you mentioned it, but onion seeds are first found in the mountain chests and are needed to farm onions, used for more advanced foods, such as wolf skewers and onion soup. Very valuable!

This was a good refresher video for my new 1.0 run. Thanks for the guide.

Although fall damage being limited to 100 health max does, as he shows, allow you to escape by jumping off cliffs, it’s anything but safe; here’s why. On your way down you’re almost certainly guaranteed to lightly brush something on the way down that counts as a hit and takes that 100 health. But if you think you’re done falling, you’re most likely mistaken. You’ll keep sliding down the mountain hitting three or four more bumps, each that take health. So, expect to die 50% of the time you do this.

13:24 usually I just run home bringing the silver ore then teleported back using portal to bring the rest, repeat until no more silver ore.
(Home, main base near Mountain. Running while using Mead of Troll Endurance, Tonic of Ratatosk, Tasty Mead, Eikthyr buff and Megingjord)
Haven't tried dropping a cart full of silver off the Mountain, might try dropping longship instead for more durability 🤣

15:45 no need sign, just drop 1 item to the path we've explored, like dropping leather scrap or bone. Applicable to any dungeon.

i love your guide the speed is fast no nonsense and very clear great work.

One thing I've noticed about silver. I've found 4 silver veins,l without the wishbone, all fairly close to a drake nest. Find a nest and beat the ground with a sledge until you see the 'too hard' message.

I prefer the slow inclines for Mts also, but when I choose a steep one, I tend to take 2-3 jumps up (stamina depending) then whack with the pickaxe to make a step/rest spot. Regen, then jump jump, whack. Repeat until you hit the top. Then you have north emergency ascent path as well as a safer descent one. A couple of extra hits and you can make it wide enough to add a fire spot.

Huh, never thought about going vertical on the rocks for the portal back to base... I always liked mountain stone boulders, because they can be much bigger than those in other biomes, which I always used to dig myself a cave...
