I just admire how you work on little patterns.

Thank you, Rachel.  I had purchased the pattern and templates, but on my first try, I wasn't happy with my piecing, ending up with a hole in the center of my star.  Now with tutorial, I'm eager  to try again!.

I love that you make what you have work.  No one would ever know you had to substitute.  I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said so.  Then I still couldn't see the difference.

When I first came across patchwork I thought it was made like this, so that is what I did. I quilted by hand. I did not know how to do the corners so I rounded off the corners and used bias binding. I then joined a patchwork and quilting group and learned that everyone else used a sewing machine. In the mean time I saw EPP and  that is now my go to way of working.

I was impressed by the way it laid so nicely after pressing. Very nifty work Rachel.

The fabric with those Japanese ladies is gorgeous. I love how you fussy cut them. I used to think open seams were weaker but EPP seams are all open and I’ve never had issues with mine. Just don’t stitch in the ditch when quilting. Showing how to get all the seams to lay flat is really helpful there’s nothing worse than lumpy blocks. This is going to be a beautiful quilt when you’re finished.

Hi Rachel, as I await my pattern, I've collected lots of pinks and WAS intending to get some light marbled gray for background but seeing your scrappy backgrounds, I'm leaning scrappy - not sure yet. This tutorial was FANTASTIC and I so appreciate it. Have a lovely day!

Hello Rachel. This is one of my favorite projects of yours. Beautiful fabric. A Star a Day would be challenging for my hands but I still enjoy watching you hand stitch. I thin I could handle the larger block following your tutorial. Enjoy hearing you laugh at yourself at something new in your day. Have a great day

It was very helpful to see how the stars come together, especially how the backs look. Lovely colours !

Hi Rachel, I cannot believe this! I have already ordered this pattern as I really liked it so much from our Craft Quilt fair! Just waiting on my order as they have been overseas and my guess is that they were in the UK lol. The owner rang me today saying that they were out of fabric and I would have to have another one no biggie so they are sending it today.  I also thought the same thing what a great way to use up my other fabric too. I love your idea with the baskets as I keep losing my Alice Caroline pieces when doing my little blocks lol Enjoyed this tutorial. Thanks for sharing with us.

Oh wow! Such patience. The stars are beautiful and so intricate. ❤❤❤

Your quilt pieces are so well done!   I love the colors with the low volume backgrounds.   This will be an amazing quilt when finished, keep up the wonderful job and progress.

Myself and granddaughter were so excited for festivals of quilts we were up and ready and then our train got cancelled and due to my health couldn’t get there in time to be able to travel home early enough so we ended up missing it

What a beautiful starry quilt this will be. I love the fabric you fussy cut for the star you demonstrated. ❤

I love your quilts. I love this star. And you are the who got me started doing paper piecing. Thank you for sharing. As always I love all your projects. 😊

Absolutely beautiful! I am so thrilled to have found your videos! Enjoy them very much

I absolutely love these stars. I fell in love with stars in general, along with repro fabric, when I picked up EPP a few years ago. Doing a quilt like this via EPP is on the (very long) to do list.

It’s lovely. Your seams are so good I’d love to see them as the front 😂 ⭐️ I found myself making a star hex, so cute ❤ I’ve been using a cardboard template, it’s okay but the edges get worn after a while. Karen’s  templates look really good.

Oh my gosh you have opened up a whole new world to me I didn't know about this. I can't wait to get started ❤

This strikes me as a great temperature quilt pattern!
