Join me for a tutorial on how to hand piece hexagons together. This is a liberty project that I have recently started and is much less hand strain compared to EPP.

You make things look so doable! Other videos sometimes make the project too overwhelming.

So thank you!

Thanks Rachel. Very helpful as always. I couldn’t have learned to quilt in all the many ways without you and Kate. Always clear, always engaging. You have really helped with my accuracy and are so inspiring.

I love your videos Rachel. They are so precise and give lots of tips. Also, they are no nonsense and uncomplicated but the standard of work is fab and the projects are really great. Some people post videos that make things look so complicated but yours are really encouraging and maker friendly.Thank you 💐

You made my day!! I was about to put all my hexagon's away and the dream of making a quilt with them. My hands and wrists would cramp and become painful for days.
I watched your video and had to try your method. It works!!! Im back to piecing again.
A long way to go before the quilt is completed, but, I can see it inished

Thanks Rachel for such a good instructional video! I have wrist problems but am hoping I can hand piece and am happy you talked about how to help prevent wrist pain. Your fabric choices are so beautiful. I really like the fabrics!!

I would love to see you do the edge areas. You explain things really well for this newbie and i am nervous about the edge areas and border

I love how you are focusing on hand strain and preventing it 😊 I have neuropathy and paper piecing causes me a lot of pain if I do it for too long I’m going to give this a go thank you ❤

Thanks for another lovely podcast Rachel. I love a bit of hand piecing. One thing I do after drawing the stitching lines on the fabric is to twizzle the pencil at each corner to leave a very small dot. This makes it easier to see each corner when stitching. I also find a light grey or beige thread or greige as we sometimes call it disappears into most colours . That quilt is going to grow quite quickly & inspired me to finish my Farmer's Wife Quilt. X
