“I don’t have time to pray.”
“I don’t have time to go to church.”
“I don’t have time to read Scripture.”
Yet somehow, we usually find time for the things we consider important.
This homily reflects on Christ’s parable of the great wedding feast and asks a much more personal question:
What am I doing with God’s invitation in my own life?
Every new day, every call to the Divine Liturgy, every movement of conscience toward repentance, and every approach to the Holy Eucharist is another invitation from Christ: Come.
But accepting the invitation outwardly is not enough. The wedding garment represents the life of Christ we are called to “put on.” We can be baptized, attend church, light candles, venerate icons, and know all the outward customs—while our hearts remain unchanged.
If we receive Christ on Sunday but refuse to forgive on Monday, something is missing.
God does not want the leftover portion of our lives. He wants to be the center.
The doors of repentance are still open. Christ still calls us to His banquet.
The invitation is not for someday. It is for today.

No time to pray.
No time for Scripture.
No time for church.
No time to think about the soul.
Yet we somehow find time for what we consider important.
The question from this homily is uncomfortable but necessary:
What place does God actually have in my life—not the place I say He has, but the place my daily choices reveal?
The invitation is open.
Come. Put on Christ.
