If only we had "Brandon the Book Finisher"

Dave on a random Wednesday: I have learned the ancient secrets and will now share them with you all

The next book should be called "A Dream of David"

Actually Bran the builder summoned thousands of colossal titans and turned them into the Wall by crystallisation ability

Last time I was this early, the Andals hadn't arrived.

Last of the Giants actually convinced me that the term smallfolk is actually comes from Giants. First Men just used it for their peasants afterwards, because lords stood taller than poor serfs. They did take the mountain giant's place, but for them to become lords, giants had to die, or go some place else!

George is fucking brilliant!

Can't get over how good the stache looks

Somehow when you said you knew what had happened to Bran the Builder I knew exactly what your theory was going to be. I think it’s assumed so strongly that he’s in the Winterfell crypts that no other possibility is ever considered. But if you assume for a moment that he’s not beneath Winterfell, the Nightfort immediately becomes the next best option and suddenly you realise that you’ve seen a thousand-year-old magician there already!

Like you said it’s amazing that nobody has thought of it before now.

Good work David!

"Nimble Dick and The Whispers" sounds like a cool and hilarious Irish rock band

To raise this channel to new heights, David has digitally encoded himself as a talking head on YouTube for all eternity. Praise Garth

I really, really need the character who discovers the talking head(s) to say “this must be the place”

Not gonna lie, sometimes I’m actually glad the last two books aren’t out yet. If they were, I probably would’ve just binge-read them and missed out on all these crazy cool mysteries.
I started the series as a teen, and back then I didn’t pay much attention to the deeper lore — now I’m obsessed with all the hidden stuff.
Still… George, if you’re listening, we’d really love to know how it all ends before we turn into skeletons.

A nugget for David:
Parasitic plants are red leafed with white stalks, just like the weirwoods... implying that they do not derive their energy from the sun, but from some... other... source... that they are connected to via their roots and runners.

Thank you for keeping my love for this series alive, David.

The fact that you draw on real world history and mythology to craft your theories, which is what George does, since he’s a historian in addition to being a brilliant writer, is what separates you from the Others. Great job man. Love watching your vids.

When I saw 'Bran the Builder, Explained' I thought cool! Then when you said 'I think I know who Bran the Builder is'...I freely admit you blew my mind with this one! Great!

One of the interesting things I see with the Weirwoods is actually related to your reference to the Weirwood as an "organism" rather than a tree, and the similarity between Weirwoods and fungi.  With their white trunks and red leaves, the Weirwoods are visually similar to the Amanita or Fly Agaric mushroom.  Amanita mushrooms are well known for their use in various Northern European shamanic traditions to allow the shaman to contact the spirit world, astral project, have visions, etc.  It has even been suggested that Amanita was used in the rituals of Berserkers and Ulfhedinn.  Additionally, Amanita mycellial networks are well known to form mycorhizal connections with the roots of trees, allowing the trees to send chemical messages and nutrients to each other through the fungal network.
I doubt I have to spell out the significance of this symbolism on this channel.

LML: "I know this sounds kinda nuts"
Me, nodding earnestly after watching this channel for 2+ years: "i bet it actually makes a lot of sense Dave"
Edit: Ice Eyes sounds like a west coast post hardcore band

Such a delight when David pops up on the feed, especially with such a banger!! Thanks!🎉

The algorithm likes engagement they said…
