Aint it remarkable the respect the fighters had for one another?

This not only shows how great Sugar Ray Robinson was but also the professionalism and sportsmanship by those boxers of that Era.  Something that you hardly see now.

When the "Brown Bomber" Joe Louis says the Sugar Ray Robinson was the best of all time...and you get "The Greatest" Muhammed Ali saying pretty much the same thing...there is nothing else need to be said other than watching Robinson in the ring, his fighting was a masterpiece, win or lose, EVERYTIME he fought, he was a genius of an artist at work.  Like Beethoven writing his 9th symphony or Michelangelo doing St. Peter's Basilica!  Robinson was the best!

The respect between men was so much more genuine and pure then wow 😯

Fights only 6 days apart.  Crazy.

My close family friend Johnny Lombardo went 10 rounds n lost on a unanimous decision on March 29 th1955 Cincinnati Ohio to Ray Robinson

He came back fought another guy and came back to beat LaMotta within a month of his loss to the Raging Bull. The guy was damn close to invincible.

In a class of his own !! Awesome talent !!!!

Ali said that pound for pound Sugar Ray Robinson was “ The Greatest “ fighter who ever lived.

Its beautiful and impressive to someone who really gets better after every fight, especially every loss. His striking getting more beautiful too.

Beautiful documentary.  I wish todays boxers were as classy as the ones from the days of long ago.

Walker Smith Jr. bka Sugar Ray Robinson the greatest ever. This guy was poetry in motion and the total package. The best welterweight and practically unbeatable at 147. He was also a great but beatable middleweight.

Great memories of Sugar Ray Robinson, a class act!

Wow, a great champ. He was a gentleman. No bagging or badmouthing opponents. Said it all with his hands. And loved his country too. Great man he was.

Sugar Ray Robinson is a beautiful man and a beautiful fighter.

Joe Lewis & Ali agree..... Greatest fighter ever..... good enough for me.

The P4P G.O.A.T!

here in the UK Sugar Ray Robinson held in very high esteem

He used to carry Joe Louis's gym bag.

Pound for pound the best!
