I have all the games on his list for both systems. At least you know all the data is on disc with ps3 version. Why but the ps5 version when data from the disc is missing on some games. Also not everyone can afford the ps5 system nowadays. Collect what makes you happy and you can afford.
Nice video dude. Liked the picks. I actually think Dead Space 1 is worth keeping on PS3. Still one of the best looking on the console. But can't blame you on any of these.
11:43 the only reason why i wouldnt recommend the Resynced is bc its not complete on disc you could just get the PS4 version just for the best overall experience
For me, my physical PS3 collection is basically games I can't get on PC, but I also like to use RPCS3 to increase resoluton and get a more stable framerate. Unless the emulation is bugging out, then I'll of course just bring out the PS3. For me, it makes little sense to get PS5 versions instead, as there'll be several years before the PS5 is emulated well enough for that to be worthwhile.
I have a small collection of PSP, PS2, and PS3 games that I like to play on my PC or on original hardware if the emulators aren't doing a good job with the title (which is increasingly rare). There's also certain games that just aren't on modern gen or PC, like Dante's Inferno, Yakuza Dead Souls and Silent Hills Downpour. Folklore is also trapped on the system, and I don't really think they'll get made available on modern hardware. It's also a preference to not spread my collection over too many consoles, aside from the ease of emulating them for convenience (I do not sail the seas though, as a personal preference, and I dump all my own physically owned games for personal use).
Thanks for the video. I'd like to clarify a few points about some games. If you have the PS3 versions, keep them anyway, as they're still fun to play. 1) Darksiders 2 on PS5 has many bugs the PS4 version on physical format is better. 2) Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 2 on PS5 seems to require an internet connection; I'll stick with the PS3 version for MGS4. 3) Dead Space is a remake, so it's different from the original game, so play them both—they're fantastic! 4) Assassin's Creed Black Flag is still very beautiful and good on PS4, and it's cheaper. For a more modern experience and... the required internet connection, then go for the PS5 version. 5) In Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, some elements like music and costumes were replaced due to rights issues, and some dialogue was removed. 6) Red Dead Redemption and GTA V are good on PS4, and it's possible to get a digital PS5 version for free if you own the disc... so you can have the best on two consoles 7) Shadow of the Damned is a good remaster on PS5 despite the few framerate drops I experienced.
i don't really have the money to spend on ps3 games or ps5 games which is why i just pirate copies and play them off a large HDD instead. lol. but once i do i'll probably buy myself a larger collection at some point of physical media.
game collecting always interested me as a kid and teenager. though i never got into it
Dead space ps3 and ps5 are different games not just remasters. I would argue the original ps3 demons souls has a certain atmosphere that people love plus the game has a massive historical legacy. For black flag just get the ps4 version. I would advise everyone to hold onto all their physical games whether you play them or not.
Only thing you have to look out for with remasters is censorship. GTA5 is a good example (PS4 version is safe). Makes me worry about how woke GTA6 will be.
I generally agree, especially if you're not a die hard for the originals. But the Demon's Souls remake is underwhelming. The ps3 version is truly a lot better if you're a hardcore Souls fan.
