In this episode of SOLDIER’S EYE, Major Gaurav Arya examines
the alleged Flydubai terror plot of September 30, 2026, and how Indian Captain
Smit Machchhar's courage and presence of mind helped prevent a potential
aviation disaster involving around 180 passengers.
The discussion explores the reported radicalization of the
co-pilot, alleged plans to crash the aircraft into Israel's Ben Gurion Airport,
and serious questions surrounding aviation security and intelligence screening
in Oman, the UAE and Israel. Major Gaurav Arya explains the growing threat of
lone-wolf terrorism, online radicalization and how individuals with access to
critical infrastructure can become security threats.

The episode also examines the Abraham Accords, Israel's
counterterrorism approach, Pakistan-based terrorist organisations, and the
lessons India must learn from past attacks. Major Arya discusses why India
needs stronger intelligence coordination, strict aviation security protocols
and a proactive approach to national security.

Can modern aviation security prevent insider threats, and
what lessons should India learn from the Flydubai incident? Watch the full
episode of SOLDIER’S EYE.

05:20 The shock level is much more considering background checks are so common for almost every job how much ever stakes that job holds in national security. The fact that for a high stake job like an international commercial plane pilot, the basic checks with atleast two previous employers wasn't done, is pretty astounding. The HR, recruitment departments of Flydubai should be under serious questioning.

The act may be random, but what cause actors to act that way is not random; is it? The Co-Pilot wanted to carry out the act on two occasions; one when his best friend was on his flight and he did not want to kill his friend; it was on his second flight when he did not have a friend on his flight. That cannot be a random act. He also had ideological assignment whether he designated it to himself by himself or by someone else; that is not random.

Sir Dont you think Fly Dubai is a UAE based Airliner and the back ground check needs to be done by UAE ?

In view of recent attempted takeover of a flight by a terrorist co-pilot following mandatory guidelines are suggested to airlines for overall safety and security of the plane and passengers.
1. There should be a video channel showing live video of cockpit on every passenger tv screen.
2. There should be an intercom and public address system for each and every crew member on board.
3. There should be a metal detector solidly fixed and active on each entrance door of the plane.
4. Each plane should be connected with ‘Star-link’ or similar internet connection on board.
5. The pilot and crew member manifest should be available (e-mailed) atleast 24-hrs in advance to all passengers with an emergency contact no., just in case.
6. Air lines should necessarily plan to accommodate a practicing doctor, pilots on board.

08:18 for all the intelligence in the world, could we not anticipate that a pilot could turn rogue ? That's no revelation at all. Much more because there already have been precedents to this for eg, the Germany flight , 9/11 itself. In fact, it's a cardinal mistake or a blunder even, not thinking about that possibility😊

@cjava1978 1 day ago

10:15 calling Godse , a terrorist instead of an assassin is a deliberate mistake committed, or a mischief even, being played by those debators sir, it's quite blatant
