The easy bake oven was easily my favorite toy as a kid. Born in 81 so I had all the 90’s toys. Teddy Ruxpin anyone?😅

Omg SKYDANCER!! I have very distinct memories of it flying right into my face 😂

1. It Wasn't Banned Or Recalled, It Was Missing Due To its limited-run nature as a tie-in toy, discontinued refill packs, and general wear-and-tear from years of childhood play.
2. they were quietly discontinued in 2003 because they struggled to compete in a market dominated by Mattel’s own flagship Barbie line and the newly launched, wildly popular Bratz dolls by MGA Entertainment.

As a vintage toy collector, my heart died a little when you ripped open that sky dancer 😂

I remember I used to have a minibake oven. it worked okay and I really enjoyed making my family sick on disguisting brownies I refused to eat, but my sisters ultimately pushed it off a high surface and destroyed it, crushing my baking dreams.

The Icing Artist made a miniature wedding cake using an Easy Bake Oven. Definitely worth a watch.

I CACKLED when I heard "the most dangerous toy" and then looked to the timestamp to see Sky Dancers lmao my friends and I used to play a twisted game of chicken with those things. They were scarily accurate at finding targets

I'm not from the US, but the Skydancers were universal! I had two, I absolutely loved them. It was a real art to pulling the string just right to get them to fly perfectly.

Watching Hope unbox the Shake Maker and my first thought was, “Does it come with an Out of Order sign?” 😂

I don’t have any nostalgia because I was born. I cannot tell you.

The wonka peel a pop was actually covered in like a grape taffy. I can literally taste it still😂
And I’m proud to say that I collected EVERY SINGLE sky dancer🤦🏼‍♀️😭😂
And you weren’t living if you never took a road trip with a video now😆
Ugh those were the DAYS

As a collector, my heart dropped ever time an item got unboxed. We have to love Hope ❤️

I remember I used to absolutely LOVE a variation of the peel-pops, and the outside was actually more of a jello material.

In regards to the "Shrinky Dinks," you can make your own by taking the top of a clear plastic food container (like the kind you get pre-made salad in) color a picture with tempura paints, cut out the picture and put on a cookie sheet in a preheated 250° oven for a few minutes. They will shrink! I poked holes in my cut-out drawing (rabbit ears) before shrinking and made wired earrings. 😀
