0:08 There's been plenty of great items recently introduced that mimic the effects of held items. So true...

Momentum with choice band would go crazy

Is this the right place to talk about how Game Freak knows sturdy is a crazy ability. Sturdy makes sense on literally any offensive rock or steel type such as rampardos, aerodactyl, the lycanrocks, or the dugtrios, but clearly that would be crazy if they gave them sturdy. Still should give it to more offensive rock types since rock needs the “buff”

Metronome with the Choice items would be insane since you're stuck using a single move either way.

doubles scarf momentum typhlosion eruption in the sun, next to an instruct user 😮 .

12:34 This is a reference to the butterfly effect which is named after the idea that the flap of a butterfly's wings can create a chain of events that could somehow lead to a tornado forming elsewhere

Rock types get a really raw deal in being slow, often having 4x weaknesses, having an arsenal of moves below 95% accuracy and generally lack any kind of priority with the exception of rockruff. One of Rockruff's evolutions gets no guard. It does not get rockruff's priority move.

I could see momentum working on a future rock or ice type Pokemon with a Pokedex entry about every hit chipping away at their body, which also sharpens. However, when they switch to a different move, their body recovers the ice/rock

I'd just like to say that a Metronome would go hard AF if repeated use moves had some kind of effect that made them less easy to cheese.
Imagine if Rollout didn't stop if you miss or it got Protected, and couldn't be flinched after it started. Give Coil the same effect on Rollout as Defence Curl, and all of the sudden Dudunsparce, Destroyer of Worlds, is destroying teams at Worlds.

Metronome is actually a very useful item for Terra raids!
The increased health of the enemies means that your attackers will actually hit the max boost from it.

shed shell could def be an ability, and you don't even have to make a new one cause run away could absolutely do what it does

Item idea
Time medallion
When a recharge move is used this item is consumed and lets you use another move next turn

the term "steady aim" gave me war flashbacks...

Most items made into abilities either don’t stack or are redundant causing no use, like sturdy- but imagine momentum metronome

@Razz-j1c 4 months ago

Fury swipe momentum momento sounds villainous

I think 'Off Target' would be amazing for the entire Wooper group, normal and Paldean!
They are some of THE derpiest Pokémon around!

Weavile really needs a good third ability since it's other two are total trash. It's on the cusp of being a staple in so many generations and a usable ability certainly would give it that slight push it needs to be relevant in most gens it's available in.

7:08 deep roots makes every giga drain have extra healing.

broken if you stack with a life orb or another big root for more healing.

Big root pairs well with comfey with it's signature ability Triage.

Triage makes all healing move have +3 priority.

Stab draining kiss is is good and have calm mind.

And giga drain as coverage.
