The name being Ooo because it's a big circle followed by 2 small circles like how you are followed by 2 bombs is genius.

"Metroidbrainia" is such a good name for this sub genre of puzzle games

The way the game separates each level into 2 branches is really good - you have the branch that leads to the next section that looks impossible, so you go to the other branch, which teaches you the mechanics in a way that seems super obvious, and then you realise you know the solution to the other branch at the end

Watching Tyler over complicate the puzzle at 33:20 really goes to show how well made the game is. He didn’t do it the immediate “right” way, but he understood the physics of the game enough to think of a way that worked

I love how this game uses familiar room layouts to clue you into using certain mechanics. Often you'll know exactly what to do just because the room looks exactly like the room where you first learnt the mechanic

I liked that you LEARN rather than unlock tricks. This game is really good for speedruners when replaying the game.

Hey Tyler, I just wanted to let you know that there is around 20 more puzzles hidden in this game. They are significantly harder than any other puzzle in the game. I also found none of them in my original playthrough and thought I was done because I don't think the game tells you about them anywhere.

As you may have noticed there is a lot of fast travel worm rooms in this game. There is one particular room shape that appears a lot for these rooms. More specifically I am talking about rooms which are mostly rectangular but have rounded corners on the top left and right. Every single one of these has an exit upwards exactly in the middle of the room.

I am genuinely impressed with the amount of elegance this game has. With Elechead, the bulk of the areas were designed around specific contraptions like conveyors and moving platforms. With Ooo, there are so many good sections that don't introduce a new gimmick, simply just utilizing what you already know in a unique way or even just pure navigation. The contraptions that are there are seemingly very simple but have a ton of hidden interactions when used with other mechanics.

The craziest thing is that you could take these mechanics and use them for a Celeste-style platformer and it'd still be amazing. The mechanics are just that good.
