A Coconino County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on I-40 in Flagstaff, and a search of the vehicle uncovered a staggering 33.26 pounds of methamphetamine. Driver Daniel Luna Alonso, 30, and passenger Brandon Medina Luna, 20, were both arrested and booked into Coconino County jail on charges of transporting dangerous drugs for sale.

Not a great Idea searching a vehicle by yourself with your head down and inside the car concentrating on finding drugs when the two occupants are standing a few feet away from you in your blind spot. Why would you not get a partner out there to stand guard and keep an eye on them?

No license - no drive, get out and walk home. Pick up the car from the cop shop when you have all the documents. License, insurance and registration.

What these cops do is to identify drug trafficking traffic patterns through high tech surveillance of plate readers, Flock cameras, tolls, etc., etc. They can track you all throughout the country. When a car’s traffic patterns meet certain criteria, they find you on the road and pull you over with manufactured probable cause. They already have the closest canine on its way.
