I don’t think Three Dog Night ever put out a bad or mediocre song.

This song is from the rock-opera Hair. Check out Three Dog Night's huge catalogue of hits - Eli's Comin', Liar, The Show Must Go On, Brickyard Blues, I Would Be So Happy. On the Way Back Home, Joy to the World, Shambala, Never Been To Spain, Mama Told Me Not To Come, Black and White, Old Fashioned Love Song, Celebrate and Sure As I'm Sittin' Here.

They have 3 lead singers and there all good!

Lead singer on this one is Chuck Negron, a brilliant singer with a huge range. Back in the day, he got messed up on heroin -- he's been quite frank about it in interviews, and wrote a book called "Three Dog Nightmare." He finally recovered and since has created a sucessful solo career.

My favorite is “One” by them but like all their songs. ❤️🎵

You should try Three Dog Night - Never been to Spain

Chuck Negron killed it! Definitely one of the greatest singers ever! I loved this first time I heard it in 69, still do. A very very successful group late 60s into 75 or so. Cory Welles other great singer did a phenomenal job covering Otis Redding Try a little Tenderness maybe their first song on the charts. Worth checking out.

One of their lesser known songs is Out In The Country, never could figure out why it isn't as well known, it's a great song.

TDN were huge in the 70's. One thing that set them apart was that they had 3 lead singers who were all very different. Tons of hits, check out Cory's lead vocals on "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "Never Been To Spain", "Eli's Coming", and Cory's Ode to Otis Redding, "Try a Little Tenderness". Amazing!

Chuck Negron was my favorite of the three lead singers

Eli's is a coming "Three dog night"

@stephaniesroka4011 6 years ago

That was Chuck Negron who in my opinion is the voice of Three Dog Night. He still tours as a solo act.

I was a teenager in the 70s. Every time you turned on the radio Three Dog Night was on. So diverse. So deep.
