Today I’m checking out Bobby Caldwell and his classic song What You Won’t Do for Love for the very first time!
Bobby Caldwell - What You Won’t Do for Love is one of those songs I’ve seen mentioned so many times but I’ve somehow managed to go all this time without properly hearing it. I didn’t really know what to expect from Bobby Caldwell going into this one, so I was interested to finally understand why What You Won’t Do for Love has remained so popular for so many years.
From the sound and vocals to the overall feel of the song, What You Won’t Do for Love was a really interesting first introduction to Bobby Caldwell and definitely not what I was expecting going into it!
Let me know what you think of Bobby Caldwell - What You Won’t Do for Love and, if there are any other Bobby Caldwell songs I need to hear, let me know what should be next.
Here is my reaction to hearing Bobby Caldwell - What You Won’t Do for Love for the first time, I hope you enjoy it!

He wrote this for Earth, Wind, and Fire but they convinced him to do it!
Thank you EWF
However, because Caldwell was white, the label worried that showing his face on the marketing materials might alienate their primary audience or cause radio programmers to overlook the record.
To bypass potential racial bias, the label made a deliberate choice to hide his face. The original album cover artwork featured Bobby Caldwell only as a silhouette sitting on a bench at sunset. For months, listeners assumed the singer behind that sultry, soulful voice was Black. The secret was famously shattered when Caldwell went on his first live promotional tour alongside Natalie Cole, stepping onto the stage to the absolute shock of the audience, who quickly embraced him once he began to sing.

Hi everyone! Unfortunately, I'm currently experiencing some serious issues with YouTube. Hundreds of likes have mysteriously disappeared from my content, with one community post alone losing almost 700 likes in less than 24 hours!
YouTube claims it's validating engagement and removing invalid likes, but this post is already six days old, and I've never experienced anything like this in all my years of creating content.
Despite contacting YouTube Support, I've yet to receive a satisfactory explanation, and I've now requested that the issue be escalated to their technical team.
As a result, I won't be uploading any new videos or going live until Monday, October 5th. I also refuse to publish any further YouTube community posts until this issue is resolved.
❤ THIS IS WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP!
I've explained the entire situation in a post on my Facebook page, MollyBoy. Please head over there, read the full update and, most importantly, HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD!
If you know anybody who watches my videos, please let them know what's happening. Since I won't be publishing any community updates on YouTube, I'm relying on you guys to help keep everyone informed.
I'm incredibly frustrated, but I want to reassure you that I'm not going anywhere. I simply need some time to investigate what's happening and hopefully get some proper answers.
Thank you for your continued support. You guys are the reason I do this, and I appreciate every single one of you! ❤
BE KIND AND REWIND! 🤘
