2:28:48 the fact raiden used Sam's stance and said the same words as he did before they fought really does show how much he respects Jetstream Sam.

I love how armstrong was so willing to let Jack into the fold as soon as it sounded like he wasn't going to oppose him

Raiden:"Sometimes, by taking a life, others can be preserved. It's the code the Samurai lived by."
N´Mani:"If you admire the Samurai so much, why do you call yourself a ninja instead of a samurai?"
Raiden:"Well, you see, my real name is Jack. And if i started calling myself a samurai... Let's just say i don't want to get sued."

I love how Raiden briefly activates Ripper mode when Wolf refused his shake like he's boutta murder him the second time

"I'll blend right in"
-Cyborg dressed in a sombrero and clothing

XD

I admire how there’s over 2 hours worth of cutscenes. The level of detail is insane.

I love how horrified Raiden was from Mistral blowing him a kiss.

2:02:09
Raiden entering a state similar to all his past reawakening and temporarily going insane is comparable to not having his robot dog companion shake his hand.
This makes sense.

This was a good movie until I died.

1:25:44 Imagine being so terrifying that a professed and abject nihilist begs you to stop killing him.

The fact that this is still just one game and not a franchise is proof we live in the wrong timeline.

We really need another Rising game. This series died before it really took off. Everyone complained this game "wasn't Metal Gear" because it wasn't a sneaking game. But honestly, I'm glad it turned out as is. I admit, it would fit the ninja motif that Raiden goes for now, but I didn't get this game to sneak around. I got it to slice people to ribbons.

Don't take that last part out of context.

I love how Sam purposely faked not being able to kill you in the beggining of the game while having about 3-4 whole seconds to finish you off after exiting the tunnel. Only further proves that Raiden was the kind of guy one Sam was waiting for to set his own plan in motion.

1:17:26 Oooh, my compliments on the cinematic timing here.  Making Raiden's health fall to the bare minimum to heighten drama in the scene, whether intentional or entirely an accident, is excellent.

I like how Raiden's voice changes slooooowly during the talk to monsoon. Just amazing

1:04:00 “deadly force is authorized”
(Pulls out nonlethal batons after holstering firearms)

raiden was and always will be a major badass

1:09:21 I love how, even though Sam seems like he's an arrogant villain, after seeing his story in the DLC and beating him later on, the way he's putting down Raiden for doing what's right actually seems like him arguing with his past self who did fight for justice and against crime only to have become disillusioned after seeing how destroying one group of criminals only leads to them being replaced by more, and that the world is nowhere near as simple as idealistic heroes like Raiden may make it out to be.
"What do you really expect to accomplish here?"
"No matter how many Mexican kids [they] cut or Africans [they] bury, the first world looks away. No one gives a shit."
"So yes... they sign up for surgery, to fight God-knows-where. How else would you provide for your family when your country's embroiled in civil war? [...] But they made their choice, right? Open your eye and see, Raiden."

If Sam ever went back in time and met his past self prior to encountering World Marshall, this feels almost exactly like the conversation/argument he would have with his past self for ever having those black-and-white ideals - of course, the same idealistic self he now sees in Raiden, who he eventually allows Wolfy to pass his justice-dispensing sword onto to keep up the same fight he once gave up.

The way this is relatable to real life is insane. Mentions internet stuff, human interactions are more real, feels more human all around, I love it

No one gonna talk about this? 2:16:06 raiden literally pulling back his chin to dodge that punch, and he's so happy because finally he can dodge without taking any hit (especially to his chin)
