Everytime I see Alex getting rid of stuff I start cleaning up my own junk very inspiring watching these videos to not leave too much junk for my daughter one day lol

That whole house is literally a time capsule of every Canadian suburban household of people born in the 1930's to 70's and the stuff they inherited. So kids from that house are in their 50's now.  So weird, I recognized every single thing you pulled out, every brand name, every trinket I have seen or something similar that my family or the families I grew up with owned. They shopped at Hudson Bay, Sears etc., went to the same movies, played the same games and all frantically bought crappy Christmas presents for each other that went into a drawer and into the box you are now opening.  They never threw a single thing out.  Incredibly strange to watch the material surroundings of my entire early life unboxed.  Even the boxes!  We used the same BC apple boxes to keep our Coleman stove and canning jars in.  Oh and the house, the basement sauna no one really used....really really bizarre.

CONGRATULATIONS ON HALF MILLION Subscribers Family !! THIS IS STILL MY FAVORITE CHANNEL.. Good job ! GO BILLS!

They are right, KEEP those old TVs.  Some are worth hundreds of dollars to a gamer or retro computer user and, yes, they will pay to ship as well.  Those things are getting really hard to find in working condition.

It’s amazing that you can focus on this huge pile and not get overwhelmed not to mention finding time to make videos! Love following along!

Really demonstrates the adage, “You can’t take it with you.”

I've never seen a hoarder house so organized. That sauna looks awesome.

You get the feeling that the owners were obsessed with other garage and yard sales. It’s like the collective unconscious of the neighborhood. Kind of fascinating.

That old doll head is valuable!  It’s an Armand Marseilles Doll, and worth $$$

40:12 made me crack up laughing, because no matter which show/channel I'm watching a hoarder house video on, there's almost always at least one "how to clean/organize" book, and it's always packed away where nobody can find it. Ha!

We have cleaned out 3 relatives homes in the last 5 years, overwhelming is an understatement, our own home has been slightly overlooked and now I feel inspired

those glued cat's eye glasses will sell to someone putting together full on 50's nerd costume

I swear I am so mesmerized I could watch you dig through boxes for hours. This is so different from the other houses you have done. I hope you are able to recoup your outlying cost.  the video content of this one alone with 30 thousand views already with ads has got to be well worth it. Congrats on reaching a half a MILLION subscribers. You certainly deserve the recognition due to all the hard work but most of all your compassion for others. You are quite a talented person that has raised a lovely respectful family. Many blessings to you and Melissa.

I would buy that trunk just because if the Cunard line sticker 😅 Us oceanliner people are a little bit special 🙈

Another thing about old model kits, a lot of parts from them were used to build the ships in Star Wars. So people will buy certain kits just for the odd part and use when they recreate their own star wars stuff.

I never had a chalk eraser thrown at me, but my 3rd grade teacher lobbed her shoe at my head! True story! 😂

Never ceases to amaze how much JUNK people collect and  hoard during their lives and then it all gets thrown out or partly sold off...!

I am really enjoying this series and I so appreciate Alex for his dedication to making videos of this process every day. I’m sure it would be easier to just go in and get the job done without filming!

That "TV" looks like an old Apple II monitor.

My Mom used to Wear those old Cat Eye Style Glasses.
