If you grew up in a narcissistic family system, you don't know your boundaries. You don't know what they are or how they feel. Theoretically, you know that boundaries should exist and that people should respect them, but that's about it.
You were raised to have no boundaries.
The path to developing boundaries includes:
Understanding that you have no idea what boundaries are
Being careful and mindful in interpersonal relationships
Sometimes pushing the boundaries (it's important for you)
Understanding that developing boundaries after narcissistic abuse involves the process of a complete transformation of your personality
Learning to be yourself
Knowing that people who respect your boundaries will feel unfamiliar
Be wary of the "familiar"

Note: Narcissistic personality disorder (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders / DSM) exists as a clinical diagnosis but is rarely used. Narcissists rarely appear in therapeutic/clinical settings because they do not perceive themselves as problematic. This is explicitly not about the psychiatric diagnosis or personality disorder, but rather about narcissism as a personality style.
