It’s sad she works hard and his mother not only refused to cook a meal enough for her but there aren’t even enough groceries so that she can make herself something.  The mother even said it isn’t bad if she missed a meal.  That husband needs to send mom packing!  She is creating the rift between them.  She wants her baby boy all to herself.
