The black forrest cake requires Kirschwasser (cherry brandy). It gives an amazing cherry bitterness and wetness to the cake. Without it it's not the same.
I've eaten the Basque cheese cake in Bilbao, Spain (Basque country) and it was divine. Easiest one of the best desserts I've tried.

Spain competing with a dessert invented less than 40 years ago and Mexico bringing an actually traditional Spanish dessert (and not Mexican) were fun additions.

Love your videos!! 😊❤ watching from morocco 🇲🇦  We need a part two with the actual top 8 countries qualified

I´m German and still devastated (but relieved that Nagelsmann is gone as coach), but seeing our most famous dessert winning here is comforting me so much. 😁

But seriously, Black Forest Cake is the best. 😋

En México los churros son icónicos pero son españoles, el postre mexicano es Pastel de tres leches .

You should have used a freshly baked stroopwafel. It’s like comparing canned fruit with fresh fruit.

You missed the cherry water (liquor) to soak the black Forrest cake in! Makes a whole lotta difference

As a Brazilian, i think that you should have used a Brazilian video as recipe, cause we don’t melt the butter after adding the condensed milk, we mix all the ingredients and then we pour on the stove, so we don’t have some cocoa power crumbs. And I think you should have done a brigadeiro cake😅 love your videos!❤❤❤

who is here after seeing spain win the whole world cup against argentina

Portugal on the thumbnail but not in the video??? 🤔

Brazilian here 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷!! Brigadeiros are in fact really popular here! You find them in literally every birthday party. Also, there's also a coconut variant called "beijinho" (which is also the word for "kiss" whom I think it's adorable) and a strawberry variant called "bicho de pé" (but that's also a popular name for a flea species, idk why they have the same name lol)

Your biggest mistake for the sticky toffee pudding was that there wasn't enough toffee...not a fair comparison...😅

As a German, this makes me soooo happy <3

I'm glad both mexico and the Netherlands were both premade so the comparison is fair, but against the other homemade, not so fair

Such a cute idea for a video. I might be german but id love to see a part 2 where you try some desserts from lesser known cuisines. Id love to know what a dessert from curacao is like.

As a half,dutch-german and south African i always love how english people say non english words like 'stroopwafels'😂 and love ur videos!

6:20 having to specify in the world cup got me😂😂

This is what I hate about the concept of competition: all these desserts have their own qualities and are delicious, I would have all of them, why choose ?

I'm so happy you started with Argentina! ❤ But let me tell you something: the edges are coated with shredded coconut over the dulce de leche, and it isn't dusted with powdered sugar. Just for next time! The coconut gives it a unique touch!

I think for México you should have done tres leches or maybe cortadillo. And for Spain, flan! Flan is so iconic and every country that was colonized by Spain has their own version.
