Yes! A great presentation showing all the nuisances! The little "angles" that are required, the "twist-just-so" details that all work PERFECTLY! Thanks! Gene

I was cleaning my grandfathers M-1 carbine for the first time to shoot it in his memory. Thank you. Very helpful video

Perfect timing! It's time to field strip and clean. Excellent presentation.

Great Stuff! I haven't had my carbine apart in a long time, so the refresher of the fine points of parts alignment and angles were helpful. The style of presentation reminded me of Parris Island. One thing I consider part of the function check - with the bolt locked back, point the muzzle down. Invert the weapon to muzzle up. You should hear the gas piston drop to the end of it's travel. I do it before the safety + trigger check. 😊

Very helpful video. I was recently given a Winchester M1 Carbine that my grandfather had bought years ago, now I know what needs to be done for disassembly. You have a new subscriber here.

👍👍! I hadn’t shot, or even touched, my Carbine for almost 2 years until yesterday. In that time, the dreaded ‘Senioris Momentus’ had crept into my head. I couldn’t for the life of me remember how to remove the slide. 😬
Your video did wonders to keep it at bay. Thank you.

I watched this three times so I can look like a wizard when it's time to show my buddy how to field strip and clean his rifle.

Great stuff. Just picked up an Inland from '43. What a fantastic piece of history that I look forward to passing on to the future generations. Very much enjoyed the period styling of the narration.

This is a great video showing the little notches/groves for disassembly and reassembly. Other videos do not show this. 5 STARS!

Thank you for this video. I just stripped and cleaned my grandfather's carbine, which I don't think had been done since he stuffed it in his foot locker and switched over to a Garand in 1943. It shot smooth and beautifully at the range, it's disassembly and reassemble went somewhat less smoothly. The captive screw on the barrel band wouldn't turn without some lubricant and serious coaxing, and I shot the guide rod across the room a couple times (always wear eye protection when working with parts under tension) trying to get it and that damn recoil spring back in the hole in the slide. And I'm not sure how many times the gun had been fired in the last 80+ years but I'm sure it had never been cleaned in that time, so it took a couple hours of spraying solvent, scrubbing with brushes, and wiping with patches to finally get it all cleaned. But I finally got it cleaned and put back together, and there are worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon than on the patio in the sun cleaning an heirloom.
