Elvis actually did not like being called "The King". He stated once "I'm not the King. Christ is King. I'm just a singer."

Elvis didn't have soul, Elvis WAS soul!

He was 6 feet tall, a black belt in karate. He loved God and people, no matter who they were. There's a great documentary on him called Elvis and the black community that will strip away a lot of the lies and the misconceptions about Elvis. I think you would enjoy it. I love your reaction man you made a lot of sense. You are an Entertainer yourself. With over eight hundred songs someone who sold more records than anyone in history, the journey has just begun. Love you man..

Elvis was sending the message "We are all human" over 60 years ago, very brave for his time.Lovely kind man

HE GOT SO HUGE BECAUSE THE WORLD HAD NEVER SEEN SUCH ENTERTAINMENT. A TRUE LEGEND.

A preacher once said for the Baptist community that he was a bundle of energy set to music and that echo will never die

Elvis was a clown, he had a great sense of humor, liked to have fun and he would just do it very spontaneously.
Elvis was very close to his backup singers. I rememberer seeing an interview of one of the ladies from years back where she said that he would stop every night when they were on the road before he would leave, he would come to their dressing room  to  say good night and say a prayer with them.
Another   favorite story about Elvis, also told by one of his backup singers is that he was supposed to be doing a concert  I think Austin Texas. This was back in the sixties when there was still a lot of segregation and because his backup singers were black they were not going to be allowed to do certain things. Eat separately, use  different entrances and exits, etc.  Elvis  actually refused to do the concert unless his entire band and singers received the same treatment and perks as he did!The concert did go on with everybody having the same privileges.
That was the kind of man Elvis was.
Always also loves the Lord. He always included a gospel song in his concerts. He actually the only grammy he ever won was for cask music.. You should listen to a few of those. My favorite is" how great thou art" the live version and "why me Lord" also the live version.

There will never be anyone like him again - not even close.

I doubt that “shove it up your nose” ad lib was a coke reference. If you watch enough footage of his live performances from this era, you will notice that he loved to do these silly ad libs. You have to remember the ridiculous height of fame to which this man had ascended and the crushing weight that comes with that level of superstardom. When Elvis got onstage, he was free for an hour or so. He could cut loose and be goofy. He’s a fascinating and tragic figure.

He was black belt karate

He would say things like that to catch his band off guard, and get a laugh.

I was in hysterics the day that man died with my mom crying right along with me. She was the one who raised me on his music and movies and took me to see him in concert twice. I turned 16 the year he died.

You're going to discover that Elvis was nick-named "The Pelvis" for a good reason. He had a rich baritone voice, distinctive, and lots of moves. Want to see him live at his 1968 "comeback" singing right next to his audience, dressed in black leather. "Trying to Get to You." Must see this version. Watch out. He can do it all, he can do it all, and he came from poverty, grew up next to a black poor neighborhood, and sang at the local black church..where the pastor really thought he was good. You can feel the soul in his voice. He also refused to do a show in Texas once because his singing group, the Sweet Inspirations, weren't going to be given a hotel room because of their color. Well, Elvis not only refused to do the show till the vendor gave in, he had his girls ride into the stadium along with him in nice cars.

Elvis Presley’s all black backup group were the “Sweet Inspirations”. It was Whitney Houston’s mom, Cissy Houston, who was a part of this group. They were with him for eight years…

He would say “shove it up your nose” or things like that to see if people were paying attention.  The Beatles used to change lyrics.

Love listening to this man (Elvis Presley) everyday all day long 💯🤗

if you wanna know why he was the king: Check Trying to get to you from the 68 Comeback special in his black leather suit.

You will never find another like him. He was one of a kind.

They didn't call him Elvis the Pelvis for nothing!  His gospel music is beautiful.

Elvis was a black belt in martial art and very good at it.
