Following on from "Winter in San'in," this time we celebrated New Year's in Izumo. We visited the World Heritage Site, Iwami Ginzan, drank sand at Inasa Beach, paid a visit to Bentenjima, and went to Izumo Taisha Shrine on New Year's Eve. We spent the New Year at an RV park that had just opened in December. Coincidentally, we were the first users.
We ate toshikoshi soba noodles that night, quietly rang in the new year at a nearby shrine, and on New Year's Day morning, we had simple osechi and zoni in the car.
This is a record of a typical Yuruchoko New Year's holiday, spent peacefully and with laughter.

We are a senior couple who began traveling around Japan in December 2023, sleeping in our minivan (NV200 Vanette).
Masa (husband in his 60s) quit his job after retirement, and Aya (wife in her 50s at the time) took early retirement to start our journey. Because we only live once. Because we want to cherish the time we have left together. Because we might not be able to do it next year (lol). We really want to travel as seniors. The name "Yuruchoco" evokes the image of a relaxed and relaxed couple's trip.
