Our Fukui trip finally arrived in the port town of Tsuruga 🚐🌬️. This journey began with delicious seafood from the fishing port. Kehi Shrine, Kehi Pine Grove, Kanegasaki, Tsuruga Red Brick Warehouse… we ate, walked, and explored the town…
In the past, it was possible to travel to Europe with just one ticket by train and ship. The kelp culture, brought by Kitamae ships, still thrives in Tsuruga today.
Right next to the port was the site of the "Kanegasaki Retreat," a major stage in Japanese history, where Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi fought.
That evening, when we went out for ramen, we were met with an unexpectedly long line…
We spent the night in our car near Tsuruga Station 🚐🌙
The more we explored, the more we felt there were still so many places we wanted to visit in the port town of Tsuruga ⚓️.

We are a senior couple who started a round-Japan trip in our minivan (NV200 Vanette) in December 2023, sleeping in the car.
MASA (husband, 60s) quit his post-retirement job, and AYA (wife, 50s at the time) took early retirement to start the trip. Because you only live once. Because we want to cherish the time we have left together. Because we might not be able to do this next year (lol). Senior travel is a serious matter for us. The name "Yuruchoco" comes from the combination of "Yuru-ku" (relaxed) and "Henachoko" (clumsy/amateurish), reflecting the image of a couple's journey.
In our videos, we'll candidly share not only the best aspects of traveling in a van, but also our own blunders.
We hope this will be helpful for couples looking for ways to spend their time after retirement, and we'd love to travel together with you all through YouTube.

朝晩はだいぶ涼しくなってきたので、体調崩さないよう気をつけて下さいね✊
長い間、町と人をずっと見続けながら美味しいラーメンを作り続けてたんですね。
最後の教え上手な昆布削りの師匠もそうですが、一つの事を長年続けるって凄いですよね。
ゆるちょこのお二人も長年ずっとお仕事を続けたから、旅をしながら生活ができるんですもんね。

敦賀水産卸売市場は、相木魚問屋さんのYouTubeを見ていつも破格値の魚が売られていて買いに行ってみたいなぁと思っていた場所なんです✨

地元で愛されていたラーメン屋さんだったんですね。最初で最後の貴重なラーメン食べる事が出来てラッキーでしたね❗️

素朴な手作り家庭料理が食べたい時はどうしてますか？
沖縄には行かれましたか？
ぼくは敦賀生まれの鯖江育ちなんやけど、断然敦賀ヨーロッパ軒のほうが好みです。
そしてそしてそして、ソースカツ丼よりも「パリ丼」のほうが好きです。
ぼくはソースカツ丼県の人間なのに、パリ丼しか食べれない身体になってますＷＷ
次、ぜひ、オススメ!!!!!!!!!!パリ丼。
私が生まれ育ったとこでヨーロッパ軒は小さい頃から食べてました。
もちろんやかんのお茶は昔から変わってなくて
それをあやさんが目を大きく開いて食べている姿が可愛くて💖
あやさんのかつ丼のコメントを聞いて納得😁（甘いソースがごはんに合う）
マサさんのおぼろ昆布の腕前はプロ級でびっくり❣

9月の終わりに小浜に行きました
ゆるちょこさんを参考に朝イチで朽木屋さんの鯖を購入瓜わりの滝
お昼はイタリアンでしたが地物を使った物で美味しかったです🇮🇹
鯖棒鮨買ったり濱の湯入ったり護松園でカフェしたり道の駅小浜も楽しみました
また小浜に寄るとのことでそちらも楽しみにしてます‼️😊

ジオラマも文化遺産超える楽しさ&素晴らしさ👍✨昔販促で勤めてた百貨店で杉原千畝展を開催しましたが、敦賀はゆかりの地。懐かしいですm(_ _)m

ソースに染まった…とじて無い…サクサクカツの主役感がやはり美味そう🤤…そして閉業間近の…地元に愛された名ラーメン屋様。行列凄い中(⊙⊙)!!…戴けて良かったですm(_ _)m
敦賀の温泉♨️未知でしたが素晴らしく、街中車中泊も実は好きです✨️朝からの常宮神社⛩️ 絶景の海と癒される山側…良いですね(*^^*)
そして名高いおぼろ昆布削り。元々薄い昆布を極薄ふわふわに削る伝統の技👍✨体験&削りたて戴く機会は貴重です(*^^*)
ココは行ったこと無いわ😅アヤさん2時間だけの朝食って！！アンテナ凄すぎる😊❤イカ丼メチャ食べたい❤毎回何回か見返して歴史の勉強させてもらってるよ🎉
