Merry Christmas Kate ..If you put some Tiger adventure foot pegs on the 900 Scrambler you have a much easier stance . Also the high pipe makes for easier work on the chain than the T100 ... The 19 inch front wheel makes dirt and gravel roads a breeze as well .. The 900 Scrambler is a great county road bike for dirt and gravel country riding .. It is not an "Off Road" bike being slung so low but it is a great tool for back road work and a 29 inch inseam ...

You can ride any bike offroad. What's more important is leveling up your endurance and skill. I guy literally went around the world with a ninja 600. No excuses.

Scrambler’s were never meant for hard-core offloading they were meant for city highway and some green lane, gravel road sort of use. I’m old enough to remember original scrambler. They were essentially a bone stock street bike that was lightweight with small displacement engines fitted with a high exhaust and some slightly more aggressive tires. They were not an Enduro. They were not a motocross. They were not a dual sport. In my mind, the scrambler is an 8020 motorcycle and this hits the BILL quite well. I currently have a Honda 500 SCL and it is brilliant with a tire change and some other slight modification. I was ripping through the duck mountains today, drifting on some corners. I feel like a triumph would be even better than my Honda.

I really don't understand why so many people get so sniffy about the off-road capabilities of scramblers. If you are after a bike for hardcore off-road riding, get yourself a motocross bike; if you need it to perform aerial acrobatics off cliff faces, get an FMX bike. These bikes were never meant to be motocross equivalents. Scramblers are a blend of retro dirt-biking with real-world practicality. I think it's brilliant that the seat height will let me plant both feet on the ground without having to consider wearing blocks on my feet, like that kid, driving a car in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. As the only off-road riding I will be doing is the occasional green lanes, gravel tracks, a one-off trip to the Moroccan mountain passes, and most of the B roads in East Sussex, this is perfect for me.

Man... I sold my 2012 900 that I had for 11 years & bought a 2022 1200 XC. I felt like I did good with the scrambler 1200. Really do love the bike... but now they come out with this. Other than it still having tube tires, I feel like this new scrambler 900 is perfection. Im so glad they didnt put wireless ignition on it.

I may end up doing a trade in a year or two.
