This little blurb probably describes it better that I do:
"SMB is not installed by default on most Linux distributions because it is not the native file-sharing protocol for Linux, and most Linux users prefer NFS or SSH. Additionally, the SMB protocol itself has a reputation for being inefficient and insecure, especially its older SMBv1 version, which is disabled by default even by some versions of Windows for security reasons."
I use 3 monitors. Each monitor has its purpose. And my switching in RDP is all on one monitor between various remote systems.
So, I get it.
It all changed when I got a Kinesis 360 pro ergo keyboard, it was slow at first, and I was intimidated and it was uncomfortable, but then before you know it, I have become incredibly comfortable with it and I can't imagine going back.
This looks like an even more buttery version, I really do like that you can just prompt menus and it just works... kinda wild. Definitely may take one of my old Thinkpads and set it up.
Because I have a 1 in 3 out HDMI adapter, I can press a button on a remote and go from my Windows Gaming PC to my Mac to my Thinkpad and just swap the usb/usbc that al my perephials are setup to.. it's that easy to have all 3! Ha.
Tech life gets more fun every day. Loved this episode and it's cool to see Scott take this leap. I felt like Wes's face the entiretime was like "crap this does look efficient but I really don't want to try this change" haha
