Natalie Wood’s story always broke my heart, but hearing what happened with Kirk Douglas took it to a new level. I can’t believe Hollywood let him be celebrated for so long. Thank you for shedding light on this.

Lucille Ball was my grandmother’s favorite. I remember watching “I Love Lucy” reruns with her on the couch every Sunday. I never imagined the woman behind the laughs was feared by her own staff. This video really makes you think twice.

Wow. The way you presented the abuse Christina went through without turning it into gossip was masterful. I read Mommie Dearest years ago, but hearing it retold with compassion hit differently. Thank you for this respectful deep dive.

Hollywood has gone to hell

I grew up watching Chaplin's silent films thinking he was a harmless genius. Finding out what he did to Lita Gray left me sick to my stomach. It's such a betrayal of the image we were fed. Thank you for not sugarcoating it.

8:58 For some reason, i am not at all surprised about Lewis. I never liked him as a person - like on the March of Dimes Telethons or when he got older. Dean must’ve had quite a time with him as partner. 😒
(Btw, Benjamin Franklin treated his son similarly. There was something about him going to jail, i think. I’ll have to look it up again.)

Off camera Lucille Ball was notoriously cruel to those below her..

I always thought Greta Garbo was just a reclusive star, but using silence as power to hurt people? That’s a new level of cold. Never expected this from her. Appreciate how this video goes beyond surface glamour.
