Wish there was Pauper on Arena. Played it just once for one of the Wednesday events and I was surprised by what kind of low rarity cards were out there

Pauper is the only 60-card format that I play anymore.  It is fun and cheap and accessible.  Imagine that!

The Spy deck being a pauper version of Oops All Spells! Is so cool

I actually built all 5 decks from your ‘5 Decks for $5’ Foundations video, and I’m planning to just tweak those into pure Foundations builds, then supplement them with some cards from Lorwyn: Eclipsed when it drops.

Then I'm calling it a year for standard. Thanks for all the great Pauper deck ideas, StrictlyBetterMTG always delivers!

You got yourself another Patreon member because of this video.  Pauper has been growing in my store over this past year and it is great to see other people getting into it.

leaving massages in the combat section for the al gore rhythm

my favorite MtG creator covering my favorite MtG format -- what could be better? thanks dev!

I wanted to smash the like button but it would break my screen and I don't think you would feel that as much as I would. I hit it as hard as I can without causing damage.

Great thing about Pauper is that it's Magic with no bombs. There are powerful cards like Lightning Bolt, but nothing like a planeswalker that just sits on the battlefield and wins the game by itself. The games are about jabs, not haymakers, and at least to me it feels like some of the most skill-intensive Magic I've played. You have to manage your resources and understand your deck.

Thanks Dev, I always love your kind and genuine content.

Love that you covered Pauper again, Dev. I live in the Denver area, where the Pauper scene is doing pretty well, in fact one LGS is hosting a $1k tournament in the near future. Since Pioneer was, er, “sent to live on a farm upstate”, Pauper is basically all the MtG I play anymore outside the occasional Commander or Cube night, and it’s been a hell of a lot of fun.

The puns, the music, the cats. My favorite magic channel. I guess you’re pretty charismatic and knowledgeable too lol

Aw yeah! Pauper content on SBMTG!! 🎉 pauper player here  and I watch you for fun janky pauper inspiration. Love you, Dev!

Familiars is one of my favourite decks of all time! In case people don't know, this is a value-combo deck that wins with different multiple card combos: 2 familiars, 1 god pharaoh faithful, archaeomancer and flicker is infinite life (blink land and archaeo, get back flicker, rinse and repeat), replace faithful with murmuring mystic for infinite 1/1 fliers. Otherwise, ephemerating archaeomancer and getting back a counterspell each turn tends to just win games as well. Also, there are very few decks that can beat infinite life so it's a real win condition most of the time, and at the very least lets you gain enough time to actually find a win condition. It's a really neat deck with a lot of different combinations and combos and it is a difficult deck to master, but a very rewarding one if you do.

A Pauper video?, from my favorite magic channel’s magic channel?
Hell yeah

Liked and subbed! Pauper is how I play MtG nowadays. Been playing since Stronghold and until I can play premodern, this is how I’ll keep playing.

Pauper is a great format, I have been building up a weekly trying to spread the word and get more people to come and join us. We’re firing every week and it has been such a great time.

Pauper is The People's Format. Dev is a man of the people... Math checks out. 😊

Awesome job dev! Great video feel free to make a longer pauper video or even a pauper cube video! 😃

Making my return to mtg for 10th time, I’m so happy your still making decks vids. Actual legend ☝🏾
