THAT WAS YOU!?!??

For real though, I loved this game! I got crazy RNG with "Pigeon rescues CEO yesterday and suddenly finds and burns man. Sad..."

A multiplayer version where you have to compete with your rival coworkers, try to steal words before they can get them, and vote for the best headline at the end would be so good

12:04 Two things can be true:
1. The Simpler Times is a fun game.
2. We still want "Baby Shape Simulator 2026"!

That's right... It goes in the square hole

We need a 1910 version of this game.  The newsroom is crisscrossed with pneumatic tubes that whisk headline slips to a row of editors. Each editor has a strong preference for certain stories (politics, pet stories, sports, weather, scandal) and each one is impatiently waiting for their next perfect headline.

If you neglect an editor for too long, their mood meter drops. Let it fall too far and they will have a full blown tantrum, hurling a chair at another editor’s tube line. Now you have two problems to solve: You must craft a headline that calms them down and and you must repair the damaged pneumatic tube so headlines can flow again.  Or perhaps you have to fight them, but not with fists, with words you have collected, if you win the verbal fight you keep your job, if not, you're out on the street

RIP in piece baby shape simulator 2026, gone too soon
(Btw, the Simpler Times looks incredible - great work on the game! The positional audio with the NPC murmuring is such a nice touch!)

still waiting for the NPCs to push back, trip and curse or spill coffee, when pushed... at least that was usually the case in the places i worked at...

1:16 "where does the circle go?" "the circle hole-" "the square hole:D"

ok but i see totally see this game expanded! like imagine your a small town reporter and you have travel around the town and get different words from different people or events but as you travel back to your office in a hurry to get your article out on time, you lose or scrabble words. maybe there is a scoring system based on the sentences you make or some kinda word association and the better you score the more famous you become and move to a better paper or something like that idk. either way this was a fun concept

This is the type of channel that gives you that 10 minute motivational juice

A cool easter egg for Baby Shape Simulator 2026 is if you keep placing the shapes in the square hole you hear a lady faintly sobbing that keeps getting louder the more you do it. After the last shape you hear her break out into tears and a prompt that asks you "Are you proud of yourself?"

06:08 Oh no... THE WATERCOOLER!!!!! BEG FOR MERCY EVERYONE!!!!!!

Oh! I participated in that game jam, and released my first completed game ever. Didn't know Juniper would be there too lmao

Edit: Just finished the video (sorry, yeah I commented before finishing it because I was excited that I'm here so fast), and this video inspired me to start working on a game again, after quite a bit of time of hesitating and being lazy and all that after the jam... Thanks!

This would make such a fun multiplayer game. You could work in separate offices  for the same paper and every round you compete to make the best headline, then the players vote on their fave for points. You can even have it at the end of the round, all players could submit and/or pick a word that would go into the word pool for that game.

Regardless, I love the concept of this game and a banger vid!

You're busy working while your coworkers are in a corner having a hushed conversation about Goldilocks of all things.

8:46 the name of the talk in question is Juice It Or Lose it, viewable on YouTube

oh my gosh, your outfit @2:46 is so freakin' cute!!!

Need one of the words to be Spider-man because then I can live out my fantasy of being yelled at by my boss for pictures of Spider-man

We needed baby shape simulator 26
