In April 25th, 2026, I headed out west to go to Silvis Train Day, but that wasn't the only stop we made. Rural Illinois might seem boring, but if you're a foamer, it certainly isn't! This day made me realize that.

The Pill was probably on the local for maybe about 2 months. It was in Mendota for a long time until recently it was taken to galesburg.

I was at the Silvis event that day as well.

I usually spend my Saturdays at the Mendota railroad museum as well but that day decided to go to Silvis and then Galesburg afterwards.

When you saw that CN power move you said the lead locomotive was a SD75M. Its actually a SD75I

Dude you should’ve been railfanning the Chicago line today there was some good stuff running on there today. The amtk 250th anniversary unit, cn gtw hu, NS 8100, 1800, BNSF warbonnet, Ns 4001, kcs grey ghost (which is I think stoped in Swanton), and cn 3218 100th anniversary et44.
