You're pretty on point with your breakdowns from what I've seen. It's nice to hear what I don't hear anyone else talking about. To me Falling In Reverse fall into the problem I have with quite a bit of modern music where there is music being made by very talented people who seem to put showing off what they can do over making a cohesive song. Unfortunately that alone impresses enough people that it just perpetuates .

Hey man, I really appreciate this video. I started out as a Falling In Reverse skeptic and didn't really vibe with the chaotic style, but appreciated the musicianship. After their last few releases, I've been converted to a legit fan. Call it an acquired taste.

Although I totally get your push back to the lyrics at the beginning of the song, I interpreted them differently. I recently heard Ronnie discussing in an interview his support of veterans and military service members, so I initially took the first verse/chorus section to be talking about the fear of going through basic training and having to mentally prepare for war as a new recruit. Maybe his wording was a bit cheesy, but it brought to mind the boot camp instructor from full metal jacket. I read "breaking down the walls" as meaning pushing people to their mental limit, again in a military preparedness scenario. The whole idea being that good people are convinced to join the military, war strips their humanity, and they have to suffer the moral consequences on their own, despite being told that they would have support afterwards.

The "compassionate" line made me think of all the justifications we've heard from politicians about why we've gone to war. It's usually something to do with making life better for people who are under attack or being oppressed, etc. (You might not be old enough to know this, but Bush used to say "compassionate conservatism" all the time).

The Corey verse made me think of several real events that took place in a current war zone. You could be right about the other "edgy for the sake of edgy" meaning, but specifically the "crowded lot" line could be referencing a political/war news story from a year or two ago. I'm not getting into details, but you can look it up I'm sure.

I could be totally wrong about all of that, but that's how I interpreted it. Despite the aggressive lyrics, I viewed it as "the best way to support veterans is by not going to war."

Im digging your channel bruv!! Great ear and insight. However I gotta say. Granted I haven't seen all your stuff yet. But you are really hard ta please with lyrics, haha. Iv yet to see a video where you like the lyrics, lol. Guess im curious of examples where it is your style and lyrics and story telling?
